Always good to land a kid who wants to be a 'Nole above all else.
I've seen a few people say McClain is underrated... is there a consensus about his abilities? I'm curious what kind of player he is now, and how high his ceiling projects to be at the next level. Thanks!

This kid is a big dude anyway. I mean 6-4 240-260 and a year left in high school? When Vic gets hold of him look out. He'll end up a 280 ripped brick if that's how they want him.

Chris mentions basketball, which must keep his weight down. I see this kid as a 285 lb rsfr at the 3 tech, as well as some 5tech when we go 3-4.
IMO if he had the size and was listed as a DT this cycle he would be the best one in the state. He plays with better pad level than Christmas and Valentine and is obviously rangier/more athletic. He always could play at about 265-275 at LDE, but I think he could be special inside.
