FSU hires another SEC Assistant

If you're suggesting that FSU and most other major contenders in college football don't pay recruits, you need a huge dose of reality.

If we paid a recruit, would like to share this insider information of the recruit, amount, time, and place the alleged violation occurred?

  • Relationships take time in recruiting, slow down and give the New Coaches a chance, in recruiting the State of Florida. We will be happy with the end results, we just need to make sure that these coaches remain here for a few years, and not create another mass exodus!

  • Unbelievable staff, coaching and recruiting wise.

  • Great hire! We have some grown ups at the table, that's for sure. That said, I'm wondering why Brewster was named Recruiting Coordinator and not someone like Sunseri or Pruitt (I know he'll have his hands full). Those guys are like mad scientists when it comes to the recruiting game. Thoughts?

Brewster is a mad scientist when it comes to recruiting. He'll also be the least busiest of the group. Our TE coach has been the recruiting coordinator since at least 1998.

Because Brewster is known through the entire College football landscape as one of the best recruiters in the nation hands down. Urban Meyer came close to hiring him when got the job at OSU, because how great of recruiter he is.

  • When I think of Tim Brewster, this comes to mind:

    Play

    Wisconsin/Minnesota 2010

Minnesota Gopher head coach, Tim Brewster, not happy after Wisconsin coach, Bret Bielema goes for two-point conversion with 27-point lead late in the fourth quarter.

Very few schools are in the business of paying recruits. There may be some "perks" that don't go according to guidelines on visits, but outside of that, people are making accusations that simply aren't true. You have your "rouge" boosters and agents pop up every now and again, however. But aside from that, it's just one of those "rumors" that everyone "knows", so it must be true.

He acted like a little baby. Sac up and stop them if it bothers you and your team. Bilemma probably told him its not his fault his team sucks

Its college football and they are kids. No point in the 2 when its obvious the game is over. Bielema can say well stop us but he is the same one that complained about Urban recruiting committed kids....Same theory applies but it did not benefit him. When you're struggling and you're being mocked like that, a coach will get defensive of his team. I look at it standing up for his kids and I think parents would too. It is ok to show sportsmanship.

I have no problem with his actions, to be honest. I would be more concerned if he didn't care. Show's his desire to win, or at least his hatred to lose.
