Assuming we stay in the ACC, our OOC schedules from here on out should always be: UF, 1-AA team, and 1 more "mid-major" type opponent. People may not like it, but with them instituting a 4-team playoff, there is no point in ever trying to schedule Texas, Michigan, USC, Bama in the non-conference. Just play UF and crappy teams in the OOC, win the ACC and hope you can go 12-1 or 13-0, that by default puts you in the 4-team playoff.

Unfortunately, that doesn't put us in the playoff by default. There is no "default" yet. We'll have a much better chance if only conference champions make the playoff.
But, even a 1 loss (or maybe undefeated) FSU team could get left out if it's simply the top 4 teams according to RPI. Given the perception of the weakness of the ACC, a 1 loss FSU might not out weigh the top two SEC teams, Big 10 champ, Pac 12 champ, or Big 12 champ.
It could be a huge uphill battle. FSU may no longer get the benefit of the doubt if they aren't strictly undefeated.

Some people think all of these games are terrible and maybe they are, but in reality, every school plays 1 D1-AA school every season, so it is not really abnormal or a surprise. Texas State is actually going to be a Sun Belt team by the time we play them, so they are not a 1-AA school. Also, I really really like playing UTC the week before UF. UF always schedules 1-AA schools or lower level Sun Belt opponents the week before playing us and I really think we should do the same. What is the point in UF getting essentially 2 weeks to prepare for us while we are playing a road ACC game the prior week. Anyway, these games are fine with me, as long as we aren't scheduling multiple 1-AA teams per season like we did this year, which is WVU's fault, not ours. Unfortunately, there is nothing we could really do about that.
OOC schedule... 2013 - UF, Wofford, Nevada 2014 - UF, The Citadel 2015 - UF, Texas State, UTC
I am assuming this means going to 9-game ACC schedules. That works for me seeing as scheduling an extra game is not only a pain in the ass, but always costs us money.
