If it is as it appears, then it is just silly and of little effect. I don't see Cimmeron beng emblazoned on shirts everywhere-or anywhere. Based upon the thread it does not appear that I am the only one concerned this is the PC police's first step of getting the "Camel's nose under the tent" regarding an eventual attempted replacement of renegade and Osceola.

Our mascot is a slap in the face of Pcer's everywhere.

Wow...just wow. I guess all the momentum behind the Capitol One and ESPN mascot marketing is what sparked this. As ZZ mentioned, Chief Osceola and Renegade cannot be used outside of sanctioned events. I'm guessing Spetman felt the need to enter this silly branding game after watching mascots like Nevada's Wolfie Jr. get so much airplay.

Personally, I've always enjoyed the fact that we don't have a silly mascot. Just another thing that makes us unique.
