FSU finally announces Demarcus Walker as enrolled

Florida State officially announced today that four-star defensive lineman Demarcus Walker, as well as three-star offensive lineman Richy Klepal (concussions - Medically DQ'd), have enrolled at Florida State. They join four-star linebacker Freddie Stevenson as early enrollees.

Agreed. Unfortunate about the concussions though especially since he'd have been an EE. Oh well still very happy he is a Nole and hopefully will remained involved in the program in some way.

Also, I would like to see a brief report on what he's up to, and how he's interacting with the team from time to time. I believe Jimbo said he would be involved at some level.

IMO this is the big difference between the Jimbo and Saban. Jimbo seems very much concerned personally with his players, and how they will live the rest of their lives, not just the part where they play football for him.

Agreed. How so in your opinion? What do you see as the major separation? I don't know Saban all that well.

Glad we "officially" have Walker. He will definitely help our need in DE, might be one of our biggest needs next OT. Now we just need to hold on to Austin G and Ira the Terror, and get Kirkland, and Thomas and I think we will be set for next season. Like what were seeing, it's going to be a great season!

Walker happened so fast that I don't think we (me) appreciated the pickup as much as we (I) should. We were sweating DE recruiting pretty bad then out of seemingly nowhere we land a bigtime recruit (an EE at that).

This is not correct, at all. Saban is very involved w the players personal lives, and has strong convictions about helping them become better people. He wants them to be successful in life, and dies everything he can to stay in touch.

Nailed it. I still don't think we all realize it yet. There was LITERALLY no time to be excited, because we were all so blindsided, confused, awe stricken, etc. Then came the worrying if it was true and if he was enrolled or not. Still crazy beyond belief.

People assume he's this horrible person who doesn't care about the kids. He just hates the media. The media doesn't like him because he doesn't give access and doesn't like having to deal with them. Jimbo "plays the game" better.

wait so he has no chance of playing football at fsu? damn poor kid got his head bust that bad in HS? damn shame
