    How many of the posters here, who are currently calling out the "complainers" will be throwing a royal fit next years after we lose 3-4 games to teams we should beat....due the same exact things that many people currently complaining about?

    Playing down to your competition + out-of-sequence playcalling + poor game management will come to reap with a non-experienced QB and a defense that doesn't have 6-7 experienced NFL level players in their prime...

    Go ahead and enjoy this season... celebrate your moment.... but don't throw stones at the people who realize where the train is heading... You will likely be joining us very shortly, unless Jimbo becomes the first coach in history to magically obtain the intangibles he doesn't currently possess.

    This next year is a complete waste if Jimbo retains the OC reins... This isn't rocket science... and deep down we all know it, but some of us are choosing to put on the blinders.

    So you are going to predict the future.....with the same amount of success as all those other fortune tellers who "know" what is going to happen down the line.

    In my life I find that those that predict the future with absolute certainty are usually the biggest fools of all.
    Just a thought.......

We will and should be ranked behind both CU and UF (both games are also away) so you are obviously predicting we lose 3-4 more games outside of those 2. If so I would love to come up with a to take that bet...

    I see some of the points your making but you and others are at the far end of the pessimist extreme. Its funny to me how similar this is to the political extremes in this country both the far left and far right are idiots just like the extreme optimists and pessimists in this debate.

    I view Clemson/Florida as teams we should beat. We definitley had more talent than both of them this year.... and will probably have more talent (top to bottom) than both of them next year... our recruiting classes have been higher than Clemsons for 10+ years running, and it's not even close... It's not like Florida is going unphased in this draft, their defense is in a similiar position, and we are bringing back more offense (which happens to be Jimbo's weakness)

    If we only lose to Clemson/Florida next year, I will consider the season a success and withdrawal my argument completely.

    Tough to say. I don't really have a problem with 95% of the play calls. If EJ progressed instead of regressed this year, the offense would have looked much better. Left many opportunities on the table with very poor throws and decisions at times.

    correct? relying on a coach that wants to stay employed (any coach) to give an accurate assessment publicly of the state of the program? I guess i am just a cynic to think their in public assessment should be taken with a grain of salt.

    Nope. I disagreed with many of Bobby's decisions at the end of his tenure. Emailed the Board and TK about it. Got banned several times over it on other sites.

    Since then, I decided I enjoy things more when I just focus on the positive of things that I cannot control.

    You're predicting us to lose 5-6 games next year if things stay status quo. There is no basis for that prediction what so ever. If Fisher's playcalling has allowed us to win 31 games in 3 years, why can't we expect to win another 10 games again next year?

    I see, you have unrealistic expectations in regards to our talent level. CU has out recruited us several times in the past 10 years. I've seen breakdowns by star ratings of both of our 2 deeps and CU is actually quite close to us in that regard. When you factor in the key returning starters they have (ie their talent is more experienced) and the 3-4 points they should be given for home field anyone who thinks we "should" beat CU next year has unrealistic expectations. On UF a large part will depend on who leaves for the draft and how thin their DL is next year but on paper I believe they will have more talent plus they will get the 4 point home field advantage. Anyone demanding a 10 win season next year doesn't really understand what is going on.

  • I've posted this before but did Jimbo suddenly become a crappy play caller the last 2 years?
    Offensive FEI ranks the last 4 years.

    2011 - 54
    2010 - 9
    2009 - 10

    I'm choosing to give Jimbo another year as play caller. If our offense doesn't improve to top 25 in FEI next year then I will reconsider.

    He never had to start with a QB with as little experience in that span either. It will be interesting to see who becomes the scapegoat when EJ is no longer there. I guess the number #2 QB becomes the new board favorite.

    Nah the GT that gave up 40+ to Miami, BYU, Middle Tenessee and lost the week before we played them to UGA 42-10. I'm not trying to bag on the team, but I thought Jimbo said it best "The season was successful, but not satisfying".

    No -- I withdrew my support when Josh posted that he's confident that Jimbo will retain playcalling duties next year. And when atgreek confirmed the Coley/Fisher dynamic.

    In my letter to the BOT, I stated the reason I withdrew, and that my future contributions were depenedent on Jimbo making a wiser choice for OC.

    You withdrew program support based om some people's opinion? What a fan. I'd like an OC, but that's ridiculous. atgreek confirmed what dynamic between Jimbo and Coley, I missed that? Everyone knows Jimbo calsl the plays but Coley helped formulate the plan. It isn't changing anytime soon.
