Depends on when you became an FSU fan. For me, it was 1989 and I saw nothing but dominance for 12 years. Losing like 15 times over 12 years. I knew Weinke... was at FSU during our '99 national title.
Hell yes, I was spoiled. Therefore, my expectations for FSU have always been the same. If we don't crush a team, it pisses me off to this day.
If someone became a Nole fan around like 2004, I don't think their 2012 expectations would be the same.

My point was we dominate between the 20 yard lines but don't put the points on the board to put these games away early. When you allow these teams to hang around like that all it takes is one blown coverage or fluke play and they most certainly are in the game. My post wasn't solely focused on last nights game either, we did the same thing with NC State and GA Tech.

Question?
How many of the posters here, who are currently calling out the "complainers" will be throwing a royal fit next years after we lose 3-4 games to teams we should beat....due the same exact things that many people currently complaining about?
Playing down to your competition + out-of-sequence playcalling + poor game management will come to reap with a non-experienced QB and a defense that doesn't have 6-7 experienced NFL level players in their prime...
Go ahead and enjoy this season... celebrate your moment.... but don't throw stones at the people who realize where the train is heading... You will likely be joining us very shortly, unless Jimbo becomes the first coach in history to magically obtain the intangibles he doesn't currently possess.
This next year is a complete waste if Jimbo retains the OC reins... This isn't rocket science... and deep down we all know it, but some of us are choosing to put on the blinders.

I had 3 fans (UF, UGA and auburn) tell me they would have broken their TV's (all said that unsolicited) if their team cared enough to show up but lost focus repeatedly in the red zone and let NIU hang around.
One friend who is a USC sr fan said, at least FSU cared enough to show up for the team dinner.
Hatian, I would submit in our conference with this schedule 12 wins is not asking too much.
we are not complaining we aren't winning the SEc every year and if we were in a real conference we would have been 8-4 or 7-5 this year while having arguably as much talent as anyone else in the country.
however, I think a lot of you are missing the point: do we see progress? That isn't just wins and losses. it is also
1.does this team show a killer instinct-last night, the answer was no-yet again.
2. does the offense continue to look like charlie foxtrot in 3rd down and in the red zone-the answer is yes, again.
3. did Jimbo refuse to pick the low hanging fruit again? arguably, yes when the dl is 240 across the front. At least matt Millen thought so. however, that is a debatable point.
4. as good as this defense is (and it is very good) does it let up whne teams are on the ropes-yes. we saw it when NIU drove down the field when we were up 17-3. Gt, Vt, arguably USF, etc.
however, #4 is a very minor point campared to 1-3.
I am not listing individual players because an individual player is actually minor in this overall proces.

Aren't you one of the posters who has been waiting for the "experienced" QB to be gone? Just saying dude, go back nad read your posts, you bagged on EJ all year and now "oh calamity, inexperienced QB". Some of you guys need to STFU. This isn't about next year, it is about this year. 12-2 while most of you predicted 11-3.

I'm perfectly aware of what I have posted, and I assure you if you take the time and go back to read my posts, you will realize I'm two parts Notradamus and one part Miss Cleo...
We have QB's on the roster which a much higher ceiling potential than EJ... but they will not reach EJ's average output until they get a lot more experience. I stick by my call... If I was the coach, EJ wouldn't have played another game after NC State.... we would be in a much better position going into the 2013 season.... I'm an all or nothing type of guy though...
