FSU 2013 Recruiting Needs as of 4/22


  • QB - None. Winston enrolls this summer.

    RB - (2). Lose Thompson and Smiley.

    TE - (0-1). Christo will most likely redshirt.

    WR - (2). Stevens already committed.

    OL - (5). Golston already committed. Need to re-load and make this position group deep finally. Tunsil #1 on board

    DE - (3). With Jenkins & Tank leaving, Hicks position change, and Werner can leave next year as well.

    DT - (2). Loss Erving, three graduate. Bain is gone.

    LB - (3). Have one already committed. Levenberry would be a nice pick-up here.

    CB - (1). Shelton is already committed.

    S - (1). Lyons could move to LB which I believe he will. Johnson is a playmaker.

    It's amazing how much collection of talent FSU has now. Every position minus the offensive line is loaded with young potential playmakers. Jimbo and crew have done an excellent job gearing up for this ACC & National Championship run.

  • FSU needs more CBs and Safeties than you have listed. Probably a fourth linebacker, and a fourth receiver as well. Maybe three RBs.

  • I believe Lyons is being recruited as a linebacker. We need two or three more.

    As for DB I think we need three more and we know the staff prefers versatility there.

    Have to disagree with you here. The offensive line is loaded with "young potential playmakers too!"

    Those are the needs as I see it (20-21).

    Agree with Trick for the most part. These are our "needs," and this gives us some room to add 3-5 luxury players or "wants."

    I believe Hart, Matias, and Jackson are all future NFL players. I just think that FSU needs more top quality players. This is the class that can take the offensive line to another level allowing FSU to actually be able to redshirt them instead of forcing them to play before they are ready.
