  • The group that came in to look at the stadium is actually the same group that built Cowboys stadium, they came here over a year ago so that article is a little behind. We will have a presale of club seating to gauge interest before we start building and I will be involved in that and let you guys know.

How's the growth of the boosters? I've pointed this out a few times now, but UF's operating budget is 78% booster money. That's where we need the biggest growth in funding, not TV.

  • Exactly, people put way to much emphasis on TV money. I will try to find a report on fund raising and get back to you. FSUkum, email me. I know weve met but I couldnt find you in my files. I will get you on my email list. jamnolfin@hotmail.com

  • Seminole Boosters ended the 2013 fundraising year on Jan. 31, 2013 up 1 percent over 2012 at $14,041,340.42, with $11,233,072.42 falling in the category of charitable giving. Restricted fund giving was up 68 percent from $389,418 to $654,614 fueling a 3.35 overall rate of growth in total annual fund giving. Total major gift giving was down 32 percent from $17,607,257. Total organization giving was down 16.49 percent from $31,911,873.

Dont put to much into the major gift giving being down, we had a huge gift the year before.

The seats that actually will get taken out would be in the end zone, which right now is the "cheap" seat area. When they turn them into club seats, they will be able to get a premium, especially if there is access to the UCC.

I'm with Mac, though. I'd love to have an old fogie seat with a chairback. A BIG problem with the bleachers, aside from comfort, is that not everyone has the same sized ass. 2 years ago, my family was next to a large family and if we hadn't had aisle seats, we would have been crushed. Literally. With chairs, you have a defined area and generally have to stay in it.

Alabama has someone similar to this where the endzones have chair back seats and access to a club level behind them. I've sat close to it before and it looks nice.
