Dilfer says Winston future #1 pick..

  • I remember Dilfer going from skeptical to being head over heels for Winston in one day at Elite 11.

Sucked out loud as a QB, but he's actually quite good as an analyst. Dude definitely knows his stuff

Dilfer defines the saying "Those that can, do. Those that can't, tech" or in Dilfer's case, analyze.

If anyone knows the minimum required to be a 1st round pick it is Trent Dilfer.

Not a shot at Winston. He will be a great one if we get OT's that can block for him in 2015 & 2016.

It is a shot a Dilfer. Come on Bucs fans, join my in forming the firing squad

Just because Dilfer was an average QB in the NFL does not mean he cannot evaluate talent at his position. I'm a die-hard Bucs fan and he drove me nuts, but he can still call a spade a spade.

Yeah he wasn't a very good QB but he has been a very active analyst and all star squad coach which he is respected for. You don't even have to play that same position to be good at coaching it. I mean dang, Trickett is a fantastic OL coach and he is tiny standing next to Josue and Cam.

It was when he realized how quickly Winston picked up the play book and applied it. When Winston came to the Elite 11 supposedly he didnt study an ounce of the playbook and then picked it up in 2 weeks and performed it better than kids who have been studying for a much longer time. Dilfer kept using the word surgeon when speaking of Winston regarding his mental approach to the game. After watching that show I knew we had to pull out all stops to get this kid.

Yep. Catches a lot of flack for sucking so hard when he played, but he's a great analyst.

  • I think Dilfer might be right on Winston. From the video I have seen, he just looks like a flat out stud.
