    You should give thanks to TAMU if you had half the sense... them moving to the SEC is the ONLY reason FSU has a shot out of the ACC at this point. That's fact even if you don't want to admit it.

    FSU can't go SEC or Big10, and the idea of the PAC is a bit rediculous.

    Just to put it out there, I'm a Nole by birth and by very deep family roots I'm a "Floridian" via the historical society, etc. Nobody questions me being a Nole. Like many other Noles, I have an alternative education, and in this case, at Texas A&M University.

    So I wear 2 hats, and thankfully, they've never "crossed" as the teams hardly ever play and are in different regions.

    To be clear - FSU isn't TAMU and TAMU isn't FSU.

    FSU is more established in the "big sport" of Football, but is weak in academics (which I know nobody seems to care about). I get that people on here only care about Football, and I accept that. But know this - A&M is a HUGE college, an AAU member with a degree that's very valuable and has MANY campuses... and they go back well past more years than you can count. That means a very large alumni base. VERY large.

    I wanted TAMU to leave the Big12 because they're a school that's ALWAYS identified with the SEC schools and their buddies in BAMA, LSU and Arkansas. I also wanted them to leave U.of.Texas and their shadow, and influence. It was better for TAMU, and even if the Big12 beefs up and improves, it was STILL a better move for TAMU.

    For the record, I want FSU in the Big12. - BUT - The problem I have with FSU/Clemson posters is they're Big12 apologists for everything now because that's where they want to go. You don't care if there are legit problems in the Big12, and you're even willing to argue for issues you don't even understand. Why? Because you want out of the ACC that bad.

    Think about it.

    So of course you don't care why Nebraska, Colorado, TAMU and Mizzou left the big12... you don't care if there are legit reasons. You don't care if Texas is the devil.... why? Cause you're willing to polish any turd as long as your out of the ACC.

    At least admit that. It's the first step to reality.

    Once again, you are about as arrogant as a poster as we have on these boards. FSU is not weak academically, get over yourself.

    Compared to TAMU, FSU absolutely is.

    Where does FSU rank academically in:

    1. The current ACC.

    2. The Big12 (as they stand today)

    I'm born and raised Nole... so this isn't "Nole bashing" despite what many will think. I'm just a realist on the situation. Things are what they are. ... and don't get me started on the Circus aspect...

  • If your home paper does anything to get your team in trouble u should load up pitchforks like back in the day. I hate sensationalism and that is all anything is with media anymore. We have to make this horrible so people will buy it. Everthing is like the national inquirer. Garbage.

  • I'm sure the university has a travel policy (like most employers do) right? I would also expect the coaching staff to comply with that policy a vast majority of the time. Can't see this being too scandalous if true for both Q's.

    If TAMU had stayed the SEC could have been forced to consider more local/regional prospects. True that those could have been VT and a Carolina school but then the 14 team expansion could have forced the Big 12 to consider FSU anyways.

    I don't think you make these definitive claims when we are all dealing in speculative what ifs.

    FSU is 101 and A&M is 58, ya huge difference. Seriously, just shut up. If you have a problem with the circus that just shows you are a buffoon!
