It's unfortunate that Doug Johnson apparently likes Muschamp. We might have a better shot. Lyons is a pretty savvy recruiter. He knows what up on both fronts

Wait Doug Johnson coaches at Nease? We have never got a kid from that school while florida has gotten just about every elite player from there, and from St. Augustine high school. They even had a player from there a few years back, but Urban pulled his scholarship at the last minuet.

It's not Doug Johnson, it's Shane Mathews. First year coach at NEase. Current UF OL James Wilson and former QB Tim Tebow played there. He'll be a Gator sooner than later imo. Said he nearly commited at the spring game with his good buddies Nick Washington and Ahmad Fullwood on hand. Might be the best LB in next years class.

BTW: I went to Nease with FSU OL Cory Niblock, so FSU has gotten a player from there in the past.

Who aren't the gators getting? If Mush gets fired, we'll have a good chance, imo.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure my UF guy just got his "gators" mixed up on that one. Lol. Fully expect Daub to end up in Gainesville

The Gators will be lucky to finish above .500 this year. That should help us a little bit.

And yet he did not commit, even given the CWM hard sell treatment. Just because a Gator is the coach does not mean the player also is a Gator. Keep in mind Brian Poole and Tunsil both played/play for Noles and how's that working out for FSU?
