DB Recruiting

Who do you want to be in our DB class? Looks like we will take 4-6
White
Shelton
Johnson
Robinson
If we lose Shelton I want us to take Baker. I am happy with taking 4 and leaving a spot open for Alexander and VH3. Those are must takes but other than that, I am happy with 4. The biggest question for us is Mackenro worth taking to get mackenzie

Yea some people talk about him like he is terrible, I dont think he is all that bad to be honest.. And having his brother with him in college is only gunna push him to be better IMO..

Mackenro can be a solid special teams guy and a solid back up LB here and Mackenzie as the potential to be a AA here so yeah he is worth the take IMO

Is Mackenro a safety or linebacker? I heard linebacker. I would be very happy with that class. I see white being a corner but I am of the belief that you just take a bunch of talent and figure out corner of safety later

Assuming the three commits stay true, I'd have;
CB - Shelton, White, Robinson
S - MJ, Burns
That's what I consider realistic (based on no insider knowledge, mind you). My ideal group would be;
CB - Shelton, White, Alexander
S - MJ, Alexander, McQuay

He plays LB in HS but he's 6'0 195. I think he plays Sam LB some for us but mostly special teams and some safety in his 4th and 5th year. Worth a scholly as long as his brother comes.

With no stipulations as to the probability of landing the prospect? Alexander, VH3, Robinson, White, Burns, and Marcell Harris. Would I take Mackenro as an athlete to secure the twin? Absolutely. It's not like he isn't a good player. At Harris' size, he could possibly out grow the safety position which is a concern, but right now I like him in Stoops' scheme at FS. I see him growing into a LB more so than Mackenro. Mack is absolutey a better prospect than Justin Bright, so I fail to see the harm in taking him. JMO

I know you're a track junkie but Burns' football reputation keeps taking hits. He's mostly a hurdler at this point. Likely a Miami/USF CB recruit. Just saying, I know the hurdles is enough for you haha

Really? Yeh the hurdles is what i like him for but all I've ever seen was his film from last year and i like his reaction to plays... But of course i don't subscribe so i don't get the updates y'all get. But yeah i thought he looked like a great safety.... Talent wise i was comparing him to reggie nelson when he was at uf. But yeah burns was my favorite because he seemed like more a safety than a cb.
