Man, i miss him in the rotation. Had such sure hands. Would love to see him have a ridiculous spring and get back out there
I think he does. He was out of shape last year. You have to be dedicated to stay in shape if you aren't playing and I think the year of the concussion problem he either got lazy or wasn't allowed to do anything. I think he contributes this year. Hell of a blocker and will go across the middle
Joyner ended his career
I needs a lot of therapy because he seems to have lingering issues being that he isn't the same as he was before his 2nd or what 3rd concussion, he is far talented in the different things he can do as chain mover. It's not that hard to lose weight when training year round, i'd also be excited with Willie back in form. I like that Jimbo put Willie in certain situations showing he knows that WH is very capable of making a impact the field.
He was on pace for an NFL career for sure. Probably top 3 round pick if he had progressed naturally. If he can get his confidence and health back I think he goes right back up to #2 for us. JMO
I read that he couldn't stand up without getting a migrane. If that's really the case, I think he gets a pass for being out of shape.
I was always a Haulsted fan, I hope he's back in full effect next season.
He was our best route runner before the concussions. Granted our receiver corps was thinner then but he was more physical than Rodney and had great hands. If he can get back to form he can be a force. I'm pulling for him.
my friend knows him and told me the exact same thing the other day. Said he would be stuck in a room for days bc sunlight gave him migraines
IIRC, the hit was made during what was supposed to be light contact drills. If that's the case, I imagine Joyner feels much worse about it than if it had been full contact.
If I'm wrong about the light contact part, I'd like to know. Anyone remember?
The interview I saw said Willie didn't blame LJ.
