. . . USC sucks! FSU fans (myself included) have been taking solace in the fact the Orgeon won't be able to beat USC twice. First of all, they probably could beat USC twice. Second, they probably won't have to because I'm not sure USC is even going to be in the Pac-12 title game. USC might be the biggest disappointment of the year thus far. After they lose to Utah tonight they will fall out of the rankings.

They'll beat Utah. I don't know about Oregon though.

Long season. Stumbles happen.
Oregon would have to beat itself to lose... they are in a position like we are with USC being a good team that was over rated in the beginning but is probably Clemson caliber IMO. Oregon can lose to Washington or USC but they are a much better team and probably shouldn't lose to either.
Walking up these hills you have no choice but to be fast!
Not worried about Oregon, if FSU is undefeated, they won't be left out
We gotta hope that USC puts together their best game of the year.
They're playing at home so there's hope.
Oregon always struggles in the Civil War game against Oregon State. So they have 2 possible 3 games they can lose.
It's pretty hilarious to me that people think Bama is unbeatable.
I'm not so sure about that. If both Oregon and FSU are undefeated at the end of it all, I think Oregon gets the nod. That's just my opinion.

Possibly. Their defense will leave doubts and being on the West cast could hurt them (10:30 game Saturday). Plus, FSU could play 3 top-25 teams in their final 4 games. That's huge for perception.
Oregon ain't going 13-0.
If Oregon goes undefeated they are in. Along with whichever SEC team (if there is one) is undefeated. That leaves us out.
Bama has one tough game prior to SECCG
who are you putting in the top 25, Duke or Maryland... or a 3 (or more) loss VT?
btw, Oregon's final 5 opponents will be USC, Stanford, Cal, and Oregon State, & the PAC 12 champ game - and I would guess that people will perceive that to be more impressive than Duke, VT, Maryland, UF & ACC Champ - who? UM, VT?.
I'm just putting schedules out there, not making any statements about if we'll get in or anything like that. Put me in the 'just win' group and we'll let the rest sort itself out.
Yeah, and it's LSU - who's been pretty pedestrian so far.
5 weeks into the season, and the best odds you can get are Bama 3/2 to win the MNC. The next closest team is FSU at 11/2 - so Vegas thinks Bama is almost 4 times more likely to win the MNC than FSU, and those two are ahead of everyone else in the nation.
I agree. They play more ranked teams than us but they do have a freshman quarterback so there's a chance he has a freshman game where he messes up.

USC will most likely play Oregon twice...if that's the case, Oregon will not go undefeated.
good luck with that
VT, UF, Coastal winner
I count Auburn as well...they play their little navy & orange balls off for that game.

Assuming we're undefeated, the best possible Coastal winner is UM with two losses. I have a hard time seeing them in the top 25.
Doesn't matter though, UO's last 5 games will be perceived as 'tougher' than our last 5, regardless of who's the Coastal champ.
It's called media market. Oregon would draw a bigger tv market against Alabama than us if they both go undefeated. That is why we would get left out, money talks. Alabama would trottle Oregon, but that is how it works. My guess is that we would be in the Sugar or Orange Bowl against Georgia or West Virginia.
Is that true? I've always heard that we're very well watched and we're only behind Notre Dame when it comes to merchandise sales...
Not arguing, genuinely curious...
Doesn't FSU have the 2nd highest bowl rating in the last decade?
I think we've fallen of a bit. Around 10-20 I thought.
