This is not a QB competition thread. I just thought it was fun to see the third string guy getting fired up late in the game. Look forward to watching his development and play- when the time is right.
I think this is an attitude that is developing across the team. Almost like they believe in how good they are. Its the same attitude G5 had just not as reckless and careless. I loved it too!!
Yes, there is definitely a sense of confidence, and more importantly TEAM confidence. You can see that just in the post-game quotes. The culture is 180 degrees different than it was 5 years ago and I think that has been Coach Fisher's greatest challenge and achievement in getting the program turned around.
I totally agree and I'm excited. I think we have the ability to blowout Clemson next weekend if the team comes in with supreme confidence. It really shouldn't be a close game because their D is porous.
Just my opinion lol

I liked it but he HAD to get back in that Wake player's face after the b*tch move he pulled.
True but it was the 3rd string QB LOL
Loved it. Wake guy took exception to Coker playing football. Just because you are getting pounded into submission doesn't mean you stop playing.
Coker and Trickett both have some incredible competitive juices flowing through their veins.

Nothing says "f@#k your feelings" like getting punked by the 3rd string qb
yea I like Coker a lot. I also think Trickett has looked much better this year and all indications are Winston is who we though he is.
You win over teammates like that. Loved it.
Coker's block was better than getting in his face afterwards.
Had he simply got up and stared him down while walking back to the huddle, he wouod have gotten under his skin even more.
Ya love what Coker did. That was a really nice block he laid on the kid...and it was bush league when the WF guy pushed his helmet to the ground. Coker was mad, as he should have been. I think Wake had a lot of 2s in on defense, too...even though the game is out of reach, those kids have something to prove, as well.
That entire sequence was awesome from the block to Coker's response to our other offensive players defusing the situation, rather than joining it. I love seeing some fire out of our guys, which is what I love about Joyner.
Even more than Coker's feisty repsonse to that punk WF player, I loved that block!!!
"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
Maybe. Maybe not. I don't care about getting under Wake's skin. I care about Coker not letting that pos get away with the b*tch move he pulled.
Maybe, maybe not. While a part of me sez: "Take no crap and get tore in"! Another, larger and perhaps more mature part, sez: "Stay in control of your emotions and do not invite recrimination in the form of an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty flag".
I liked it. Wake guy was being a punk.
what have they been saying about Winston?
Also liked Krug running in to defend his QB
It's time we play with confidence and dominance. It has been missing for quite some time. It is time we return to dominating this conference and make teams fear us before our bus arrives at the stadium.
I love the fire from Coker and any of our qbs. You know when your qbs wont take ish from opposing defenses, you have the confidence you need to succeed as a program.
