12-2 is a good season. We should have had a better one but that is why the games are played.
ACC and Orange Bowl Championships
Happy with 12 wins, ACC Championship, OB win, top ten finish
Enjoyed watching our running game emerge
Young OL coalescing
The seniors were class acts
The emergence of young players, namely Darby, Waisome
The Clemson game was the most exciting game since the '99 MNC
The Bad and The Ugly:
Playcalling--would've liked to see more "I" formation, more hurry up, more option; play to our strengths, Jimbo!
Uninspired play on the road
Escaping with wins against lowly USF, VT, GT
Jimbo not going for the 50 yd FG against NCST
Tank, Jenkins, and CT going down
Punting and Punt returning

The Future is Now.
Winning National Title is reaching immortality in regards to college football
Remembered forever, more of a joke though
I hear ya.
90%, which is either a B+ or A- depending on your school district....
If we had beat NC State it would have been an A.
Id give us a like a 90% A- Cant be a A with a loss to FU. But very solid season.
Given the talent we had the season was a bit disappointing. Had we beat uf it would have been an A imo.

B+. It was a good but not great season. We won the ACC and we 12 games. Hard to be too upset with that, especially considering that we loss Greg Reid and Brandon Jenkins at the beginning of the season and Tank Carradine and Chris Thompson in the middle. The loss to NC State knocks from an A- to a B+. That was a bad loss.
B+ Good season not great. The lack of consistency and playing down to the completion at times is frustrating. Overall though I feel this season was another step in the right direction for the program.
couldn't agree with you more RyRog, excellent point. definitely a B team with A+ potentials
My only disappointments comes from our boneheaded play calling, which are reason the reasons for the NCSU lose and those other mediocre games and EJ to a certain degree but knowing what he was dealing with off the field, its really hard to put more blame on him. Overall, you can't argue with improvements and I'll admit that we have greatly improved under Fisher in all phases, even though I think he is a bad OC.
Team does not earn an A with a double digit dog loss and loss to Uf in same season.
ACCship and OB victory earns solid B.
Life is good. Now lets go win another championship.
Glad I didn't take some of your classes in college.
B+......Grade up for ACC Championship and Orange Bowl Championship. Grade down for gator loss. I'm not going to grade down for NCST as I have been around many years to know that we to often have that one loss that bars reasoning., such as a blocked kick away.
Same as aceing the final but you failed to turn in your homework projects

I wasn't singling youout, but I like your analogy.
D, as in damned good. Fell just short of E for excellent. Only real blemish in the final tally was the cheaters at NCST. On the day we played them, the gators were better.
as to players lost:
Our best special teams player was Hopkins. Catching punts does not take skill. I know from personal experience. it takes a little concentration. so the punt fielding issues were a failure in coaching. we did not miss reid one bit on defense.
losing jenkins did not hurt us either. we did not lose to Uf or NC st because Jenkins was hurt.
As to Thompsn, we lost to nc st when he was still healthy.
So, B- because we did increase our win total and win the conference.
B- because we underacheived quite frankly, by not running the table with this schedule.
I give Jimbo a C.
IMO we saw little to no growth until the Gt game. He cost us the NC St game. It appears he may not be capable of adjusting, or paring down, the offense to suit his qb.
The outburst after the Nc St loss (the Monday press conference) leads one to quesiton whether he has reached the necessary point of emotional maturity (in an hc sense) necessary for the job.
On the positive side for Jimbo, he did at least mention the possibilty oif an oc some day. This is a big sticking point with BOT's and will be with a future ad that is actually an ad and not a figurehead.
The 2nd half of the Gt game was well called by him-ej just didn't get it done. He also did a fairly good job against NIU-he called easy throws and took adavantage of our personnel superiority-we out athleted them. Ie, Jimbo picked some of the low hanging fruit and did not wed his gameplan to the premise that "I am going to show you (the opposing dc) that i am smarter than you and will outscheme you despite the fact I have much better athletes than you."
that is growth. IMO he should have run early and often but pitch and catch was a viable option.
Overall, B- is best typified by the fact this team looked no better from late september onward.
