Getting paid 500k a year while someone else does most of your job and gets all the blame for the problems? Sounds like a nice life to me and Im an ambitious guy. Seriously who here would have a problem with that? Its certainly not bad enough to hurt your Alma mater and go to a rival school 2 weeks before signing day. 500k a year also goes a lot farther in Tallahassee than it does in South Florida.
I'm at work and late to the party on this. Is Coley taking the job?
Uhh......not being able to further your career and become a Head Coach some day bc you're looked at as a puppet and you're employer won't give you a chance to show your playcalling skills.
James Coley is an FSU alum?
Why do we keep talking about someone else doing his job? That's not the case. He does the job of an offensive coordinator. He calls the offense. It's incredibly normal these days for a head coach to call the plays.

Yea sad day that he might only make 500k a year with minimal stress and responsibility. Spare us! Miami wont be any help to his career either when he is coaching half a team under scholarship reductions.
No, the successful HCs dont usually call their own plays.
".................with minimal stress and responsibility"
Yea for a job pulling 500k he has very little stress and responsibility compared to people who run major corporations and perform surgeries. When the offense sucks who gets the blame? Jimbo not Coley!
Probably because Coley doesn't call plays. Are people this stupid or just homers?
This is big for him, he will recruit the heck out of south florida from there and there head coach(name slips my mind) gets a better gig he might be sitting pretty for the HC vacancy if for some how the offense does well.
Face it guys, they lock down the south for a couple years with recruits and there's a monster brewing. There sh*t now but they have been great before and it's Miami, south beach etc, much different feel than tally, plus momma might be close.
Take a look at the Top 10 in the final AP Poll and you might change your tune on that. As far Coley I agree with you
