Josh, Tom, Chris, Anyone....?
Any other candidates you're hearing?
Any word on other interviews?
Wasn't the candidate that interviewed prior supposed to be informed for or against today?
I just assumed he was a no-go.
Thanks in advance, guys!
Jimbo is trolling at this point. Probably be announced today or tomorrow but who knows.
For the latest recruiting scoop follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/joshnewberg247
Info 's kind of slow now that the leak is in Coral Gables crying over his best friend leaving him.
Rumor has it, it going to be James Coley.
Coley would be a good fit at FSU. Knows south Florida, has OC experience, and knows some of the players. Would be a good hire
I've heard he's smart but no game experience.
Loyal but mostly to the almighty dollar.
Wife and family will only move to a beach house, get ready Alligator Point.
Excellent Recruiter, but much too jittery from Cafe' El Cubano.
Will be promoted to Head Coach in charge of smiling and shaking hands.
Seriously would love to have Coley back. Very smart and engaging man/coach. Maybe when Jimbo retires we'll have a shot.
It would look weak and petty to take Coley back if you guys aren't joking. Anyways I only want Coley back after he fails at Miami and we can hire him back at a lesser compacity at a huge pay cut. For what he did we payed way to much; after seeing Pruitts success and Jimbos new hires we can and will do better. The initial sting hurt but it is a change I am now happy happened
They are joking....
You never know with fans...
The Miami fans want Troop Taylor hired to replace MC.
I'm glad he's taking his time, no need to rush. He'll make a good hire.
No other interviews? Are we expecting more interviews or is this a sign that Mike Johnson is the hire?
Christo omnino nihil praeponere
The trifecta lives! Golden, Coley, Troop!
Lol at me getting down voted for my post, if you want Coley to come back into the same position after abandoning us right before NSD your pathetic.
Ladies and gentleman that is why I don't give a about my votes. Your welcome to it.
you care or you wouldnt have brought up downvotes they probably downvoted because you took what they said serious i thought it was pretty obvious it was joke lighten up man this isnt serious personally though i dont really see what is good with upvotes or downvotes.
I feel like Ive heard that somewhere
And yet you make a post specifically about being down voted...
Some smart fellow.
Hiring Johnson makes zero sense. He has zero ties to recruiting in the south. He has been fired by every school he has worked at. Two times he was out of work for over a year. The guy has not proven to be a good coach or recruiter. I honestly think he is on the level of a mark Mchale hire for Jimbo.
Interesting. Very strong words. Johnson supporters, I'd like to hear a response.
Also, if not Johnson, then who? Names seem very hard to come by.
Does the lack of big names show that Jimbo is basically looking for a QB coach (i.e. no play-calling duties)? If so, (to Josh, Nee, anybody else would know) has Chris Weinke's name been throwing around as a QB coach? How would you guys feel about that?
I'm not a Johnson supporter. However, a lot of folks believe Fisher will be the play caller at FSU, so why does it matter if Johnson is hired or not? He's a "puppet" after all. If that's who Fisher wants, then we should be fine with it. Fish wants a south Florida recruiter on staff, and understandably so, but we struggled to recruit south Florida with Coley and Gran (No Dade or Broward signee with a Miami offer besides the St Thomas trio under thier watch), so I am not sure there is one sole individual that is available that will help us down there.
Big names, little names....there are no names besides Johnson. But yes, Josh has been steadfast in his belief that this will be a positional hire, not a coordinator one. No thank you regarding Weinke. We have the means to hire a proven commodity, not just a former Nole great.
It just seems like Jimbo gets in over his head with these "puppets." I've been told by people who would know that Craig really didn't do much in the way of coaching, and was essentially only a recruiter. It just seems like such a waste of a coaching spot. Completely the opposite of Bowden's CEO-approach.
