The place to talk about the Florida State Seminoles
The place to discuss general topics outside of Florida State
You have no favorite boards.
The most viewed topics.
The most replied to topics.
The most up-voted topics.
The most down-voted topics.
The most up-voted posters.
The most down-voted posters.
The most followed posters.
I think you miss the point of the complaint-it is to belittle immature behavior.
Then put the quoters on ignore as well.
Or grow up. either will do.
True hate at its finest.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
As you have now deduced, it is an issue with immaturity of far too many posters. I think the downvoters are the same posters that look to this board for validation about their ideas and downvoting is showing their cyber anger and directing it those who invalidate their own beliefs.
They typically cannot refute the posts which invalidate their own ideas so they downvote as a form of trying shout down the poster.
Kind of sad and pathetic even for 8th graders.
I could really care less about up votes or down votes. I don't even know where I would look to see how many up or down votes I have acquire. That said, I do occasionally give posters an upvote, but it is not for agreeing with me as much as it is for saying something I find hilarious. I am not sure I have ever down voted. Like someone else said, I really don't see why anyone would ever care about votes on a message board.
I have never down voted you, but I don't think you get down voted because you are "so smart" but because you never stop talking about the same topic. Even if you were 100% right on your beliefs, the way how you can't stop, like a scorned ex-girlfriend, is probably why you get the down votes.
I like to think i am persistent.
I just hate it when I run out of downvotes!
I think the OP is foolish. There out in then public, happy now?
I down voted the op because I didn't want to miss out on the party....
I up voted tnoles because of his "persistent" comment (subtley, very funny)....
.....but, then I down voted him for his bash on immature people. I felt he was singling me out.
I don't think I've ever used these buttons before.....now that I realize how powerful they are and can wreak this kind of havoc....MWAHAHA!!!
"Don't mistake lack of talent for genius." Type O Negative
20 downvotes so far... Hahah
......and then I got downvoted..... Karma

It wont let me downvote. I will hit it and it will say confirm and it gives an upvote. I have tried just to see if it would work. Why does anyone care about downvotes. Personally I don't care what people on a message board think of me. My problem is instead of a downvote I would rather discuss our different opinions. Is that not what a message board is for?
I upvoted the OP just for the heck of it. This whole thread is kinda silly. I like the DV button, personally, although it doesn't mean a thing. I upvoting too. I wish I had more.
The Future is Now.
I down voted the OP because he cares about up voting and down voting. It's not like your stars follow you around in the real world.
And the ask to put a name to the downvotes is funny because my guess is your parents didn't actually name you whatever your board handle is, so you are also hiding behind something.
The ignore feature is awesome too.
"...just played physical football. That's Florida State football. That's the standard from now on! It never goes back!" - Jimbo Fisher
Perhaps if the upvote icon were colored FSU garnet instead of UM green, it would get used more often. I'd color the downvote icon orange - that'd pretty much cover all three of our least favorite programs.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.
What makes this entire thread sad is that it occurs on Saturday night.
A 50 comment thread about about imaginary votes from people you dont even know...on a Saturday night.
I feel like buying some of you guys a hooker or two.
Nah not persistent...just whiny like an 8th grader!
That's ridiculous. You can't ignore anyone who quotes people in responses b/c then you'd have 90% of the site blocked and hence render it useless. Josh, Chris, Tom, etc all quote people in responses because it's easier for people to track what question they're responding to.
I truly believe that over 75% of the down-votes you receive are purely because people know it pisses you off and it's fun watching you react to it...... over, and over, and over.
So keep it up, please. For we know that every down-vote we give you, hours of enjoyment ensue. Sure, you can call everyone immature, childish, etc - because maybe it is a little bit. But, this is an internet message board and by nature it's just a diversion from real life. Most people can see it as such and treat interactions here with the grain of salt they deserve. The fact that you can't (despite your overtures to the contrary) is comical, and egging you on to that end has evolved into a de facto sport.
So, TNOLE, game on. Game on.....
I think the downvote button is somewhat stupid but it would be fine if it wasn't anonymous.
The upvote and downvote need to have a personal username on it. I downvote occasionally, usually when someone is just being insufferable, and i wish my name was attached to that downvote.
On the flipside, someone should know if people enjoy a post who it is.
They need to put the username in the upvote downvote and it makes no sense to me why they haven't
