No but in this case you're an uninformed fan. Or possibly blind.
Jimbo came in for very fair and scathing criticism after the trainwreck in Raleigh. I was very vocal.
But tonight the coaching was fine. The playcalling was solid. The execution wasn't great in the opening minutes but we recovered and blew them away from the second quarter on.
The officiating was horrible and among the worst I've ever seen.
Yeah it wasn't all that bad. The penalties really mess up drives in an offense like Jimbo's. If not for fumbles and some incredibly bad offensive pi calls we score in the 40's while running a ball control offense. The only really terrible decision was the fg on the first drive of the 2nd half. We had timeouts at the end of both the 1st and 2nd halves which allowed us to kick the fg at the end of the 1st and take the lead into the locker room. Jimbo didn't completely stop trying to score once we got the lead and I only saw him lose his mind a couple times. Nice win made great b/c it was miami.
Isn't the OP the same guy on the canes board talking about trading coaches?
You realize that, even setting aside the stats for the first two games, we have been at the top of the county in yards per play and scoring offense.
It's time to face facts: detractors of Jimbo and EJ will be unable to find any factual support for their arguments this year. We had one poorly executed and coached half. Otherwise, this team has destroyed statistically all opponents and met all reasonable expectations.
Our fans got excited and thought this would be the year. It isn't, but the self pity and stupid lashing out are making it unbearable for the rest of us. Sit back and enjoy a 12 win season and the first time ever one of the big three has beaten the other two three in a row at the same time. That's dominance.
If it makes you feel better, UF is in for a total meltdown after the pending late season collapse. Go stir their pot when they do.

I assure you except for the few remaining undefeated teams, everyone else's goal would be to be 7-1.
That is a stupid comment. Literally.
What offense would you run?
I will be the first one to blast fisher when needed. But you don't come on here saying our kind of offense is the worst when we did almost exactly 50/50 run-pass plays. If you take away the bs opi calls, fsu has over 600 yards of offense and wins by 27.
Yes that was him. So far the OP and FSUFSU are in a race to see who can start the most dumb threads. FSUFSU even started a thread on tbb saying he would trade Golden for Jimbo
both those games we're home games for the respective teams and I'm guessing they didn't repeatedly get effed in the by the officials. Not fair correlation, imo. We didn't play phenomenal on offense but we did play pretty well atc.
Also Kstate and ND are both undefeated top 5 teams and are very good. Kstate has now destroyed ok and wvu. They're very very good.

Switch teams. Go with Oregon. They move the ball effortlessly.
"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
Until they play a somewhat real defense...
Can't wait till we hire Dana holgerson. His offense can't be stopped.
