Got me thinking. About two questions.
1. Who are the best young up and coming coaches
2. If we were to loose Jimbo, who would you realistically like to see coach here?
1. I like Matt Campbell at Toledo quite a bit. I believe he is the youngest coach at this level. He is a sharp guy who has a very bright future in my opinion.

They'd be smarter to go after Chad Morris type, get him the F out of the ACC. Wait I said smarter and we are talking about Auburn...nvm.
I think it would show people an awful lot about the FSU job if it were truly an open market job, which it hasn't been in almost 40 years.
A few on the short list would have to be:
Personally, I'd have Charlie Strong as my far and away #1 candidate.
What are the chances we lose JF - Does anybody have a gauge on that ?
I would not mind Bobby Petrino at all.
That guy can coach and has never had the athletes at his disposal FSU can offer.
I could honestly care less if he was screwing some chick on the side. That is a personal issue between him and his wife OFF the field. The only reason that stuff is even brought up in the first place is because of paparazzi and press. You would have never heard about it if he was some big shot investment manager or something.
The poster formerly known as 31-7. Understood by few, known by many, loved by all.
Personal issues aside, the guy is a complete prick and a scumbag and I wouldn't trust him to watch my kitchen garbage can.
Do. Not. Want.
I want nothing to do with Petrino
I would be upset if we took Smart, Morris or Freeze. IMHO
Me to -- Strong or Mullen is all I would be happy with on that previous list -
I don't see it, unless Auburn put out an offer that could up his salary a ton (it's $2.75 million here through 2016) and cover his buyout (2 million).
I know Chizik makes 3.5 million, but that was a contract given to him coming off a National Championship.
Fisher seems very comfortable at FSU, it is his "dream job", and with the problems his son is having, I doubt he would want to move his family.
He has also built up quite a talent base here in Tallahassee. At Auburn he would have a much tougher time getting them up to the talent level the SEC requires.
I wonder if it was Wake Forest or Virginia game from last year that sold Auburn....Or the NC State game from this year?
/Just kidding, I will back off Jimbo for now, as long as we don't lose another game to an underdog this year, he's showing improvement.

I did not realize Auburn had an opening.
how ridiculous would that be, coach two yrs removed from a National title is canned... I know a lot of it was Cam, but still that is pretty much a testament of where CFB stands today.
Jimbo would not take a step down or lateral move that is what Auburn is.
Guys not mentioned yet
What, to Auburn? 0%
I think you have to look at guys who do more with less as a HC of a big school. That puts Strong, Mullen, and London in the picture. Smart isn't a bad choice, but I'd rather have somebody who doesn't have much on the job training to do. Jimbo is still doing that IMO.
