And ours is spineless and passive. No killer instinct from jimbo its no wonder this team doesn't execute down the stretch.
More gutless Jimbo. That's going to be his legacy.
At least he'll stock us with talent for the next coach in 2014.
Scalp 'Em Seminoles!!!
Agree. He is basically a pussy as a coach.
Not quite sure I agree with this post. If Hopkins makes that FG we would have been up by 9 at the time. BS PI calls took away a TD and a big play (Smith catch and run). I don't know what Fisher could do differently (at this point of the game)
People want to blame the coaches for everything. Nick fumbles on the first play blame jimbo cause he wasn't focused enough, punter shanks a punt blame jimbo. It never fails with people around here.
Well Notre Dame or K State were up by 50 points at this point vs. Miami.... with 4-years of offensive recruits that were ranked much lowers than ours.
So, I'm pretty confident there were plenty of things he could do "differently".
Very fucking confident.
We win in spite of jimbo not because of him.
Read 2 posts up. I guess its Jimbo's fault when guys fumbles or when refs call BS?
By your thought process coaches should never get fired, because they didnt fumble or directly cause a loss...Makes no sense
Bad calls are going to happen... we aren't playing good enough competition where a REF should be able to have an impact on the game.
Any team in the top 10 would beat the balls off of Miami and NC State... and it wouldn't even be close.
As far as fumbling, it's just another part of failed execution...
Bias = the only way you can be optimistic about this performance. We really shouldn't be surprised if we lose between now and Florida.... and we really shouldn't be surprised if Florida comes into our stadium and beats the shit out of us, with how this game has went...

No that's you assuming that what my thought process is. You are claiming he is being passive, yet they are still taking shots. Do you blame Jimbo for that last pass my EJ that was almost picked? That's my point. People who have this negative opinion about Jimbo are going to hate every decision he makes if it results in a negative play
And people who defend fisher to the end will have a positive opinion all the time and blame the players. Your point? His job is to give the players the best chance to succeed. I do not think he does that most of the time.

No, I blame him for leaving a shitty QB in, when our backup has proven he is significantly better at everything, other than running.
Or for retaining a shitty offensive line coach who after 6-years, still can't put up a decent pass block, which prevents us from playing said QB (who happens to be his son)
Its not me being optimistic or bias. I'm actually not that big a fan of jimbo as a playcaller for awhile know. We could have played better, but to overlook the horrible calls by the refs and just expect us to be able to play through that every time is ridiculous. we should be beating them by 20+ right now and I blame that more so on the refs than jimbo. You probably don't agree and that's fine. That's why its call an opinion
Fair enough, I respect your opinion... We'll see if you retain it, after you sit through the Florida game.... and realize that they were able to do this to us in the coaches 2nd year..
That's right, Jimbo just needs more time... a few more years, and we should be set...

Blaming the refs is a loser mentality. If your playing at a high level the refs shouldn't be able to impact the result of the game. Does it happen, occasionally of course.
But what about when he does and the players don't always get the job done or negated by the refs? I dislike his playcalling more than more but I don't see how one can complain tonight
Answer this question. What could have Jimbo done better this game to be more aggresive?
The main reason for the post originally is the 4th and short call. I hated the fact he tried the fg, i like a coach that has guts for better or worse. He has flashes of good play calling here and there, and yes its the players have to execute I'm not arguing that.
Now that I agree 100% with you. I didn't like that call either. Especially knowing how shakey DH has been. I understand why he did it since he was 2/2, but I didn't like it
Stop whining and just deal with it.
The Future is Now.
You are actually giddy to see us struggle in this game. You and your band of twats above had to hide your little hardons when we fell behind. Know what? Another win against one of our two biggest rivals, in their house, to make three in a row. Only happened one other time since the seventies. Why don't you climb back on holgerson's nuts, little punk.
I can't say that we have the worst fans in College Football because that honor goes to Miami, but man we have some bad fans. These are the people that support our team? Why do you need detractors when you have fans, then?
That's pretty strong OP, I will say this Jimbo should have gone for that 4th and 1....Bobby would have gone for it....
His playcalling was pretty good, did have a few plays that I didn't like though...
Bobby would have gone for it in 1987. If you're thinking more recently than that, you're thinking of the wrong guy.
Yay lets be satisfied with invisible state trophies! Who needs real ones like ACC titles and MNC's.
