He needs to reclaim the panhandle. Ever since Saban got to Bama he has been swiping the 5 star kids out of this area that we used to own. There is always at least one really great recruit every year from this region and we should be getting him.
We need to lock down the Tally/Madison area in 2013 too. I believe there are a3-4 top prospects in the area this year.
We need to stop letting the 5-stars out of state too. There have been 8 leave since last year.
there are some solid looking 2nd and 3rd options
but overall it's meh
The panhandle has never been Seminole country. P Cola is Bama country
we use to pull kids out of the handle all the time
then the old man and his goons decided to ignore it for over a decade and sec teams swooped in and built relationships
Trent Richardson and Eddie Williams were heading to Bama no matter what Jimbo did. You can't get them all.
Everything west of Tallahassee is Alabama territory.
Only since Saban got there. We used to have not only the panhandle but the gulf coast of Al, MS, and even into La.
except for Mobile
We have done pretty well in the Panama City area I believe. Anyone west of Pcola though is up for grabs Noles, Gators, Bammers.
Trent Richardson was close to going to FU. I'm glad he didn't not that they would have used him correctly.

I went to high school with Trent Richardson he was ridiculous. And I don't think there is a incorrect way to use him at RB
I'm not concerned about the panhandle if he continues to bring in recruiting classes that are ranked 6'TH, 1'ST, AND 2'ND (in that order) from 2010, 2011, and 2012.
Agreed...very hard/nearly impossible to do better than we have done the past 2 years.
I grew up in the FWB/Niceville area. That place is as much Bama as it is FSU. We have had our fair share of wins, but so has Bama. There isn't a ton of elite recruits out of that area.
"...just played physical football. That's Florida State football. That's the standard from now on! It never goes back!" - Jimbo Fisher
Jimbo has really underachieved when you look at the numbers instead of letting emotions get in the way.
Just in case, sarcasm.
The only thing he can do to improve is win games and championships.
Lincoln has three 4*s alone.
Yeah, this. Honestly, if any kid from Lincoln or NFC (hell, even Leon or Godby) is any good there's no reason he shouldn't end up at FSU, unless he has some sort of predetermined notion in his mind that he wants to GTFO of Florida or he grew up a diehard fan of UF/UM.
I second the motion. As long as we keep bringing in top recruiting classes, I could care less where they come from.
But with those top recruiting classes, there needs to be the eventual championships. When those start coming, talent comes alot easier from everywhere.
It's not like the Pan Handle is producing tons of kids every year... But the head to head match up against bama and burn are going to increase as it seems we are now going after the same type of players.
Lincoln with early 4*s? NO WAY
I stand by my statement
Bama just won the national title, we won the champ sports bowl...who do you think is winning more of those head to head battles?
Eddie Goldman disagrees
This is just my opinion but Hearns, Davis and Williams will all be someone's number one option. Especially Hearns. He stood out as a sophomore in Orlando against Armwood. In the right defense, kid has first round potential. Davis has elite speed and Williams has a 6'4" frame.
