The rest of spring practice will now take place on the intramural fields across the street instead of the practice fields due to the condition of the practice field surface.

If we had an IPF...............
I have seen a weighted roller on the practice field several times, along with them watering it more than often. Just before Spring practice began, a geological drill truck drilled several holes on the practice field and around (parking lot). I see them drilling all over campus, I'm not sure why but I assume they take samples for tests of some sort. Many of the holes are probably attributed to the drilled holes.
Breaks ground in 7-8 months.
They have now taken out a section of grass about 20 yards long hash to hash (maybe a bit wider) from each field. They'll probably re-plant sod and hope it catches right.
No excuse for wasting the money spent last year. Total incompetence.
For what reason?
It might help to get the back story on what's happened before you come to this conclusion.
I have no clue what went down, but those are some pretty emphatic statements unless you know what's happened.
Maybe someone from 247 could get more info?
1995 might be spot on, or maybe there's more to it..............

To replant sod I assume. The sand holes Jimbo was referring to were all over the fields, maybe from the drilling I mentioned earlier. The holes didn't have any grass growing in them so they didn't want to plant small islands of sod, instead they'll replant a large section to cover where the holes were. This is just what I assume from watching them work.
