Not sure what is actually in it yet.
I got a brief summary of the noa.
I still think they get 30 over 3 for some reason. The NCAA will do something to itself, I guess, to save face but Miami cheated and the investigator cheating doesn't change that.
30 over 3 years would be devastating. Miami already self imposed limitations this past year and only signed 15 total with a few of them being EE. I can't see the ncaa doing more than 15 over 3 years which still hurts.
They are at 19 right now. They decided the NCAA couldn't hurt them so they have been picking up people after NSD (Elder and Griffin)
Miami deserves 30 losses over 3 years. 10 years of infractions, while allowing Shapiro to remain involved with players, giving money to 72 of them all after being on probation for the exact same infractions 10 years early is despicable.
of the 19 a few of them were EE so they count to the prior years class. Miami self imposed this year and only took about 15 for 2013. They could have signed close to 25. They pretty much took a probation year in 2013. Add in the sanctions hanging over their head it really hurt their class this past season.
They should look at the fact they waited until the last possible moment to self impose their punishment this year. Had they announced at the beginning of the year, maybe I could see that counting, but waiting to see how your season goes before handing out the punishment should be frown upon.
"A Seminole warrior killed in battle is a legend remembered. A Gator lost in battle becomes a pair of boots and a belt. "
Miami getting hit and hit hard is terrible for the conference. I know this main pain some but FSU needs Miami to be back or close to being back to where they were in the early part of this decade. Them getting destroyed does nothing for FSU...Nothing. If anything it hurts them. Having Miami getting creamed for 30 scholarships over 3 years would set their program back another 5-7 years....
Miami deserves a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGG Probation.
They have shown a tendency to do the same thing over and over again.
I say 10-15 year probation that if they break they get heavy heavy penalties.
Regardless of that fact (which has some truth- albeit could help recruiting), Miami deserves to be punished. Plus, let's be serious, Miami wasn't going to be good for awhile, sanctions or not.
We don't need Miami for shat
Especially if Clemson remains a top 15 team
The last time Miami was on probation FSU went to 4 national championship games in 5 years.
Any more questions?
NCAA.org definition of LOIC:
A lack of institutional control is found when the Committee on Infractions determines that major violations occurred and the institution failed to display:
•Adequate compliance measures.
•Appropriate education on those compliance measures.
•Sufficient monitoring to ensure the compliance measures are followed.
•Swift action upon learning of a violation.
They can burn....
