1. Why isn't this guy a "100"? I mean all I can remember for the last 2-3 years was if he came out he would be the best RB as a soph...jr...etc. So what's up with that? Did that knee injury hurt his rankings?
2. I thought FSU lead for this guy almost outright? Now it has many schools above FSU, including turdville's finest. WTF? Did losing Gran hurt us that much?
PS...I'm going to be much more focused on this year's recruiting cycle. Kinda forgot how much I liked my favorite hobby of following 17 year old kids and letting them make or break my day. NOW GO TO FLORIDA STATE!!!
He is the best RB in "14, Fournette out of La is making some noise though but Sony is top notch. It's a year away from NSD "14 so it doesn't matter who leads at this point.
I'm sure the knee injury put up a flag. He was a legit top rb before but with his injury and another guy or two showing out he will have to come back AP style to keep the top spot.
Losing Gran did hurt, but plenty of time to get back in it. He's a very good back, but so is Yearby, Cook, Fournette, etc.
Fournette > 2010 Sony > Yearby ~~ 2012 Sony > Cook
I initially wanted to disagree with this, but the more I think about it, I think you are correct in your assessment at this time. Not that it cannot change, but I think you're pretty close.
Yearby is pretty damn impressive. Sony was and is special but so is Yearby.
Gotta love the knee/leg injuries our RB recruits have been getting the last few years before they even play for FSU.
Eric Beverley - torn ACL (right?)
Ryan Green - torn ACL
Mario Pender - groin all jacked up
Sony - ACL
Here is the thing about RBs that Thompson made me notice this year. While Freeman is damn good, he doesn't have the break away speed to take an inch to the house the way Thompson did. A 12 yard run is great, but that breakaway speed is what turns a 12 yard run to to a 30+ yard run. Freeman didn't have that. That's what I want to see in our RBs, not that it's easy to get vs the speed of DBs with regularity....but that's what I want.
Being the best RB in your class as a Sophomore really isnt conducive with being the highest rated as a Sr. Michel developed early and got early hype. He's very much an elite back but anytime a kid is hyped hugely as a Soph he usually is just a top 50 guy as a Sr.
Beverly was never going to play not sure why we recruited him.
Green did not tear his ACL, shoulder issue
Green never tore his acl he had a labrum in his shoulder he's healthy and elite
Michel is an elite back, but Leonard Fournette is on another level in my opinion. That is some of the best highschool film I've seen in years.

this Fournette is best RB in this class easily.
I would not get your hopes up. Sony is a Duke Johnson, Tracy Howard, Stacey Coley SoFL homer.
Hopefully this um ncaa sanction bs will hit the ground before long. I mean if it hit a few weeks ago, we may still have Coley coaching, and 2-3 additional kids in the class. Who would have thought that the NCAA dragging their feet would have hurt FSU?
My bad about Green.
None of this matters if we do not get an OL to block for him. I will be a much happier camper if we dominate the OL and DL recruiting next season. A 2 Star RB and run for TD's if the blocking is good.
GO NOLES! / SCALP EM!
IIRC, he was recruited primarily as an FB ... to take over after Lonnie.
