Just to get a feel for what is a "success" for our class, lets say we land the class listed below are people going to be satisfied?
OT- Chad Maverty JUCO
OT- Reilly Gibbons
OT- Andrew Harrell
OG- Montel McBride
OG- Ethan Frith
OC- Joshua Casher
Do we hit the mark enough #'s wise and quality wise?
Not saying I think we land these guys or offer and accept commits from all them but I wanted a mix of hits and what some would probably consider back up plans
Message board success won't be attained until Trickett is gone. Much like message board success for play calling won't be obtained until Fisher gets someone to call plays.
Mavety - RU/tOSU
Eluemunor - tOSU
Sharpe - UF
Gibbons - Miami
I guess we can maybe get a 6'4" OT that goes to FSU school.
To bad he still needs 2-4 inches to be elite size.
well I appreciate both of you totally wasting the point here.
I see us landing McBride and Casher. Not familiar on the rest of the names.
I don't know why you listed Mavety. We have never been in the lead with him and he is more likely to go where Eluemunor is going then anything else.
read my 2nd post. This isn't my prediction to land these players but if we landed a class like this maybe I shouldn't have used names.
what if we land 3 OT one good JUCO, 1 good to elite OT and 1 Backup plan, 2 OG one highly regarded 1 backup plan and a solid center.
6 OL a mix of misses and hits are we satisfied? I used the names because they are a good combination of familiar names and measuring points.
I wouldn't Personally I feel like we should land 4 OTs. (3 elite)
Trickett should be selling JUCOs on putting them in the league in one year as a first round pick.
Trickett should be selling ELITE HS OTs on the JUCOs leaving in one year and the lack of depth.
I feel with our OL problems and our early offers we SHOULD have this OT class.
Then one OT with SIZE or the ability to GROW. (now days you can go to the doctor and find out if your epiphyseal plates are open or closed)
If we don't land Sharpe, Eleumunor, Mavety, Prince, McBride and Martinez then I will be absolutely furious!
For real though, we should need 4 OT's 1-2 which are JUCO's and 2 interior guys, minimum. If we actually get the numbers then I would be happy. Having crappy guys is less scary than having no guys.
23,000 dolphins are killed every year in Japan. For pest control. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KRD8e20fBo
I believe we land Prince, Maverty, Gibbons, Casher, Martinez and now Sharpe since we told him today that he can play BB if he wanted to.
where did you read that? must have missed it.
From Tom L ...... By the way, the FSU football staff have already spoken to the basketball staff. If he wants, Sharpe can play both sports.
Sorry FSUNole1 - Tom said it in the Sharpe thread above.

Not concerned about our OL.Under a different regime in the 90s,we won an ACC championship with 6 healthy OL.
If we do not land at least 2 of the Big Name OT (Prince,Sharpe,Elumenour,Mavety) it will be a fail regardless of the rest of the class honestly. We need to land guys in this class that will be talent ready to play by year 2. Not many if any OL can play year 1 and do good. Unless they are Juco..
I think we hit both marks. I'd be thrilled with that class.
The Future is Now.
There is no way we land both Mavety and Eluemunor. If one commits the other won't. They each only have two years left and Cam has one of the tackle positions locked up. If both sign, one won't play. We should all hope for one of the two.
OL will most likely be a colossal failure...i hear this year is deep in 6'2" offensive tackles. Could be our salvation
Not guilty y'all got to feel me
