I think it is pretty funny.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
South Bend has great history and tradition, but was in general pretty boring and lacked attractive women. Give me Tuscaloosa over it any day of the week, 'necks and all.

Its going to be pretty funny when they get the hell beat out of them
Can both teams lose?
Nama is gonna beat that ass
Maybe a meteor strike will kill them all.
Choosing between South Bend and Tuscaloosa is like choosing between getting punched in the face or punched in the nards
I've been to each once.
Tuscaloosa had many hot southern girls and a pretty good party vibe. Didn't like the typical bammer types though.
South Bend was like being in any numerous post-apocalypse films.
Dreary. Felt like a should be watching out for zombie mutants to attack.
After dealing with Domer fans in Tallahassee in 2002, I hope they lose in a very painful fashion and their children sob.........
I have been to both. I agree with chris. South bend is nondescript. However, 90 minutes from Chicago. Bama is one hour from Birmingham. Nice play to live but not to spend a weekend. Tuscaloosa is also nondescript.
IMHO Bama has the cute girl edge but it is not like, FSU, UGA, Ole miss or AZ St.
Also, the berg of Northport on the other side of the river doesn't help.
Except for the girls give me South Bend. I went up in 2003 for our game. Great fans at ND. Pure class. They are better than these shirts.
Oh, I still hate ND because I grew up in the South. However, for about season after our 37-0 game up there I actually felt sorry for them.

I loved Tuscaloosa when I visited potentially for grad school (ended up elsewhere), honestly. It was TR's personal pro day (this past spring).
Everyone is really, really, really nice. Girls are some of the hottest in the country. You kinda have to walk around muttering "roll f'ing tide" for people to accept you, though, lol. But that is kind of cool...never seen a football team bring a region together as much as in the Bama region.
