The sixth annual South Florida Express 7-on-7 team tryout Saturday evening brought out some of the best talent in Dade and Broward Counties as it always does.
As always there is loads of recruiting buzz from the event. Here is the latest.

Not good news.. Seems like he will stick with his commitment too wherever he goes
Well, that's not good news on Sony. When we lost out on Gus Edwards, all I heard is "Oh well, we'll just have to really go after Sony Michel." We're probably not even in his top 5...so where in the world did any optimism with Michel come from?
Christo omnino nihil praeponere
Looks UGA bound. As long as Miami doesn't get him no biggie, I'm not a believer in his durability.
Cook and Fournette are better targets.
Also anyone else like Lane's rundown of FSU and Miami?
Not that he isn't good, but I think he is a little overrated. Fournette is definitely the better back, JMO. A lot of south FL people say that Yearby is better than Michel. I am not sure about that, but it still shows some doubt in him. With Yearby committed to us, getting Michel is not that crucial. Yearby is the star, just go get 1-2 other guys at RB.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
Also, Lane doesn't know what he's talking about. Several months ago he said he had an FSU offer, but no Miami offer, and the Miami fans were bitching that we were first to offer a Dade kid. Now he says Miami was his first offer.
Maybe it was a silent offer.
I agree that Fournette is a better back, but I really don't think we have a much of a shot with Fournette at all. LSU/Bama battle all the way. Many on this board were intimating that we were right in the thick of it for Michel, which appears to be completely false.
Cook is definitely not coming here unless something drastically changes and Fournette is probably going to LSU (better shot than Cook though).
We'll sign Yearby and probably 1 decent (not 5*) RB along with maybe a LP type HB.
What's the name of the big kid from Bama we were the first offer??Big ole boy that can run really well!!
I have watched Sonys film and to be honest I don't understand the hype he gets on this board.
Cooke will end up at UM...If we had Gran we would land Michel for sure....no clue where he goes now...ND or UGA maybe?
Lol at everybody saying Sony is overrated now the we aren't in his top 5. We have zero shot with Louisiana kid
We led when Gran was here. Gran is gone and we're off his mind.
Its ridiculous that one coach takes you from the lead to not even being in the top 5. Shows the kid wad not being sold on the school or program.
That looks to be true, but the optimism I've read and heard about Michel was well after Gran was long gone.
The thing about Pryor that made him so great and willing to play the role he did is that he loved FSU. I'm sure most can remember back to the interviews he did during his recruitment and the smile on his face when he talked about FSU. A kid that talented willing to play the role he did is going to be almost impossible to find again.
WTF happened with Michel? Just a month ago he listed his 3 standout schools as FSU, UF, and ND....now both UF and FSU aren't even in his top 5?
I find it extremely difficult to get worked up over what kids say a year away from signing day. Things will change so much by NSD. Losing so many coaches will effect relationships with kids like Michel, but this staff has a year to rebuild those relationships. Way too early to freak out imo.

It doesn't say those are his top 5.
its recruiting, what do you expect? The new coaches haven't talked to him yet bc recruiting areas haven't been set yet. Don't worry at all, I promise once the staff is back that we will be on the phone with Michael. If not, the staff is turned off by something that has happened and moved on. I trust their decision. The development of our players since Jimbo has arrived is phenomenal.
Again: Fournette >>> 2010 Sony > Yearby > 2012 Sony > Cook.
Cook is just not a natural runner right now. The other 3 are.
Sounds like Sony is ND bound to me, not UGA.
