CT4 I don't belive he will get another year. So it's (Wilder,Freeman,Pender,Green) Maybe Collins? I know Pender is the forgotten man is this rotation...So who starts? who of the incoming freshman RS?
I think Wilder is the starter but everyone will get their carries. I hope one of the freshman redshirt if we sign Collins though so that we can get some separation between the 3 freshman .

I see Wilder and Freeman splitting the carries. Both are very good at certain things.
It will be running by committee like always, the starter will be name only.
Kenny Powers: "A true champion will do whatever it takes to rise above. Because surrender is death, and death is for pussies."
Committee for sure. If I was bored enough to put % of carries numbers out there as a wild, ridiculous guess I'd say:
1. Freeman -- 40%
2. Wilder ----- 35%
3. Collins ----- 13%
4. Pender ---- 12%
Green RS? Who takes Lonnie's role?
Green may find a role but a RS would be best. Of course we may see 1-2 guys go down and then he's in the fray. If Pender was healthy he'd be playing a little bit right now.
The whole talk of the "Pryor role" is going to be one of the biggest what of its this offseason IMO. I think Wilder does some of the stuff, I think Collins will too and then maybe the kid from NY signs with us and sees the field some. At the same time I think at least 1/3rd of it gets schemed out for the strengths next year's team will have.
Who ever early enrolls will probably not redshirt.
Collins is probably more physically ready to play right now.
What If Pender shine this spring?!? Plus what if freeman takes the quote "fullback" job
None of the backs we have our giving up carries to play the "fullback" role. Lonnie was special....offense probably changes a little.
I'm just not ready to put Pender in third yet. He's the most talented back we have and hopefully he has used this time to work on the playbook. If he comes back healthy I think he pushes Freeman, I just think Wilder is too special to not give the ball too.
4. Green (RS)
Wilder and Freeman will get 90% of the meaningful carries.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
I don't necessarily agree, respectfully of course. I think the new talent we're bringing in will really push Freeman. With Green and hopefully Collins coming in, Freeman is suddenly the fifth-most talented RB on our roster. With a bit of improvement from our OL which is to be expected as they all return, I think we put the ball in the hands of our potential playmakers as much as possible. In my opinion Freeman is not a big time threat like all the other guys coming in behind him. The four in front of him are special talents and they will surprise a lot of people with how many carries they get. It will be, as I've said before, a very interesting spring and fall camp.
Pender will be a beast if he stays healthy IMO
Ridiculous backfield. Reminiscent of UM back in the early 2000's.
I think we need 2 RBs in the 13 class regardless. IMO, there are concerns associated with Pender. His decision making has shown to be suspect.
Can you give an example? I hear things like this said but never anything concrete to prove it one way or another.
I think people are forgetting how sick Pender is. He will get a ton of touches.

Its kind of a lame topic. Apparently he's never really been arrested or anything like that but the folks who knew him in high school said he was in a bad group of friends and wasnt exactly the guy in the group trying to change their ways. Its all rumors and what not though.
He's very much like Noel Devine.
Bud Elliott is the conductor of that "Pender will never play" train
wonder if people would still swear by that guy if they knew he was behind the whole Oklahoma/Twitter fiasco last year
Bud is very well connected within the FSU program and his analysis is absolutely top notch. Usually if he's going to post something about a player in this fashion, it's for good reason. I've seen him post about Pender but never speaking in absolutes about him seeing the field. He's suggested, as have many others, that Pender has "maturity issues," and that's about it. As an avid reader of both TN and 247, I've never read any specifics on the issue, but would like to know more if possible.
As for the Oklahoma/Twitter fiasco, to what are you referring? I'm pretty new to the Twitterverse so guess I missed it. Interested to hear what happened.
I think Freeman is a "special" talent and will force one of those kids to shirt. I'm not going to buy he's the fifth most talented kid until I actually see these kids get a few carries at the college level. I just think Devonta is big-time.
Devonta is indeed a very good RB but he will be challenged for his starting or co-starting role before he leaves. I think it will be a RB by committee but his carries will slip, like they did when CT was healthy.
I wonder if the staff thought Karlos could take his job.
