That Derrick Green is visiting this weekend. Josh,Chris,or Tom have you guys heard anything on this?
Where are you seeing this?
Hope it's true, but where you seeing this?
Just getting him to visit would be a huge coup!
Spoke to a good source tonight...A visit has not been set. FSU would like to get him on campus this weekend or any weekend before signing day, but as of now there is no visit set.

I've heard this weekend was the proposed plans. Def set up already by the staff, he just needs to say yes. This is the weekend he will visit if he intends to visit at all. I think there is a decent chance he decides to board a plan tomorrow after school
Per a source, not a great one though. Kind of heard through the grapevine thing. I have several friends that coach and recruit major d1 schools. Top 25 programs from this year. This source was not one of them so cut me some slack

Would this just be a courtesy visit? From everything I read and hear, Green has already made up his mind about going to Michigan. If we are serious about Gus Edwards, would it be wise to have him on campus the same weekend as Green?
Christo omnino nihil praeponere
A stumbling block to a possible visit is that I believe Green has always had family along on every trip. A last minute visit to FSU would result in plane tickets that would cost a hell of a lot.

I know that a school can cover the cost of a recruit's plane ticket. Not parents also?
Very good point Chris. I didn't think about that aspect.
No, not the parents. Chris and I haven't spoken tonight, and a separate source told me the same reason for the visit not taking place - because the parents tickets are too expensive.
I get the feeling he's not coming unless his parents make the trip as well.

Are there ways around this? Sending a jet/bus/limo for the recruit, then having his parents tag along "for free"?
Not saying we'd do this, just curious.
Im pretty sure recruits can opt to drive to campus and then be reimbursed. Being that he's in VA unlikely option
Doesn't the school pay for the recruit and one parent? I didn't realize they only funded the recruit.
I believe your right. 1 parent or person can also be paid for besides the recruit

not correct, only the player has the plane ticket. I work with a lady who has a son who is a recruit and commit to Penn State. When he went to take his visits she had to pay for her own ticket. His was supplied by the university.
