Meet, Lorenzo Carter, a standout defensive end at Norcross (Ga.). The 6-feet-6, 232-pound junior is among the most coveted recruits in the 2014 class. All told, he claims more than two dozen offers with the most recent coming from Auburn, Kentucky, Michigan, N.C. State, Ole Miss, Southern California, Stanford, Texas and UCLA.
Carter is the No. 3 overall prospect in the 247Sports rankings.
Last week, he told 247Sports he might not announce a college choice until National Signing Day next year. Carter has agreed to produce a twice-a-month diary for us, and in his first installment he talks about his background, his introduction to football, his love of basketball (he will play for a state title later this week) and, of course, his recruitment.
Lorenzo Carter, the No. 3 overall prospect in the 247Sports rankings, begins a twice-a-month diary with 247Sports today.

One of my favorite DEs this cycle. IMO as good as Hand if not better, I hope Kelly can do something to get us in the lead with him.
My #1 DE this cycle. Going to be difficult to pull him.
Deserve got nothing to do with it...
Chris Hall coaches the 9th grade there. They have 75-100 kids just on their 9th grade team! Side note, Chris is expecting.
New or Josh do you see is being a player? I know a lot of people thought Kelly could help with this guy
He was down in Tally for the clemson game last year. I'm not sure but I think his entire coaching staff was here. I shared some beers with them at a tailgate. He likes UGA and the SEC, but we are on the radar. I just wouldn't get your hopes up.
Really enjoy and appreciate his apparent respect and love for his parents. That was one of the better "recruit diaries" I've read. Sounds intelligent and level-headed.
