GO NOLES! / SCALP EM!
as of today i'm gonna go 10-2 regular season. i think our losses come out of clemson (most likely), uf, miami, an acc "jimbo special." i think we miss the acccg and go 11-2. losing half our starters off of last year's team and still managing to pull together 11 wins would be very nice.
new qb (Coker or Jameis pls), very thin on the oline, new starters all along on the dline (very green de's), and a new defensive system with different terminolory and different coaches.
"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."
Florida and Clemson will both be very good next year but I love our chances to split there.
i'm not as high on uf as some people. they lost a good bit off of last year's team. i also don't think they'll see as much turnover luck this year as they got last year. hopefully the same goes for us in that we'll take better care of the ball.
i've also got to wait and see the impact of these new coaches for us, especially defensively. hopefully Pruitt was able to absorb a lot from his time at bama. though i think the impact that Sal and Kelly can/will have in helping him prepare can't be overstated.
We lose at least 2, suspect play calling is good for at least 1 loss.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
we'll see. too soon to speak in absolutes. i don't see our defense being as good as it was last year, it's hard to improve upon #2 in the nation. Pruitt's first time calling plays at the college level. hopefully it's a seamless transition though.
miami has a lot back. granted it's a lot of meh coupled with some young talent. maybe the best oline in the conference, with the most electric running back (if not the best) in Duke. i don't see James Coley as an upgrade to their last oc though. and can that defense really be as bad as it was last year?
we'll know more as it goes along obviously. we need to keep this team (especially the oline) healthy, need to find a qb, and need to stay out of trouble. spring practices/game and the off-season should be fun.
