"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
so now we are cruising sun belt conf ol's for commits?
we are crossing our fingers for a cusa level recruit and a sun belt level commit.
does anyone think this is how you build good ol's? you know, ol's that can actually get you to mnc games?
If you want to give blind allegiance to trickett, have at it.
I want results on saturdays and these prospects are no way to get them.
Call that a thread destruciton if you must. The rest of the world calls it just discussing reality.
If we get this kid we have 3 flyers out of 5 commits, that is assuming we get Bell.
hell, mchale could get flyers and he was the 3rd laziest recruiter I have evver heard of,after jeffy and Heggins.
Trickett can recruit. He can get kids to come to FSU. He just can't get kids to play for him. There is no issue regharding Trickett's effort in recruiting. He is willing to put in the time.
now if was willing to arrange for Wh*&es and cash drops like ole miss he would be doing better.
Wait, did i just post the ole miss secret method to recruiting?
Look, i feel for the guy. He is a good coach. He puts in the hours. He is a good guy that is just a little rough around the edges. He is dealing with moms who want their sons coddled and kids that want sunshine blown up their backsides.
He has been sucessfully villifed by other coaches. He is 64. The perception is not changable at this stage in his career.
As I have said before, the actual truth of the matter is irrlevant. It is only the perception that matters.
is it fair? The correct answer is what does fairness have to do with anything? If recruiting was fair it would be like the draft and 124 schools would all sit in line and take turns picking recruits.
Who is paying the biggest price for our ol recruting woes: The players on the team. They came here to compete for mnc's. From a personnel standpoint (there are some other issues as well) ol recruiting/perosnnel is the one deficiency on this team. do you the the dl's db's etc like watching eg, the ol fail at 3rd and 1 for most of the season?
It pisses all of us off. It pisses them off a whole lot more.
As a booster, we can turn off the TV and go do something else or decide not to invest the time to actually go to a game. We can stop giving money if we feel strongly enough about an issue like many of us did due to the contiuned employment of Jeffy.
however, this is, after God and family, the biggest thing in the players' lives.
lastly, I am concerned the ol recruting and long term ol situation will begin to make recruiting tougher for other position groups because a good argument can be made by other staffs that we ar enot legit mnc contenders b/c our ol's are not ususally good enough to get us there. As in, if you are serious about playing for mnc's you to come here because the FSU Ol is not good enough for FSU to get there.
Even great coaches sometimnes need to move on: even Bellicheck did not survive in cleveland

"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
Then why did you link to my post? Cared enough to link to my post but not enough to read it. Puzzling. If you do not want to read what I post you should put me on ignore.
