If that's not a reality check for those kids, I don't know what is.
Awesome. Tough love right there.
At first I thought this could hurt with recruiting. But then I realized if this scares a recruit off, then he's not a player you really want on your team anyway.
Any comic fans out there, check out Tart, written by a Seminole Grad, who is incidentally... me.
That is great. Every coach should do that. I don't see any negative impacts that could come from that.
Ouch Sam Montgery, that's not a ringing endorsement for a 1st round pick
Where did you get it?
Ironically the majority of those kids are 4 and 5 star kids, who have already been pegged as NFL locks.
Tharold Simon is also likely to get looks, Anthony Johnson is a likely 1st rounder next year and la'el Collins was my favorite ol in the country coming out of hs. Kid is a mean mother
Except for the player's bank account, which will get their attention. It's a great idea there is no way Lester came up with this. Maybe he is smarter than he looks...
Agreed. Montgomery has stock that has been slipping anyway.
Moore from Texas a and m, werner amongst other seem to have leaped the lsu duo
That's awesome. If i recall correctly, the idea actually came from a HS coach who posted the same message and listed his players that missed workouts. Definitely a motivator. Keep in mind that NFL scouts and GM's are in the business to pay a player as little as possible and find any excuse as to why they should get them for cheap. They can say the player is not motivated enough to earn top dollar.
Too bad half of those guys were still starters during the season.
I am sure some think this is just disrespectful of a coach, but I don't. These kids came to a university who paid for their "services" in the form of an education and giving them the chance to play in the NFL.
From a recruit perspective, recruits know that scouts are coming there and they know the expectation there is to work and to win. If you don't do those things, you will get called out...no matter who you are.
I applaud that and wish more coaches would do it. From a scout's perspective, I respect that program for giving me a character eval that's more comprehensive than my 30min interview. I have to make the choice if that guy is worth the risk of deveoping or not.
Chances it's a hoax?
This /\. Careful here. This is fine, until some lawyer doesn't get it into his head that therein lurks a lucrative payday - class action lawsuit for "Restraint of Trade" or some such nonsense.
They've been doing that for years. It disappears before their Pro Day
Great, except they're not employees, and they're basically being graded in football class.
Montgomery was overhyped because of the SEc hype machine. He was good but never as good as billed That display is a nice reality check

Do not have to be an employee for tortious interference with the right to contract. Defamation could also be thrown in there and libel now that is on the net because someone from LSU must have initially posted it.
Nash, we should call those players and sign them up. We may be able to retire. Could you imagine the grass eater on cross?
Lawyers, even if they don't have a strong case, can browbeat you into a settlement to rob you, as most business/persons of means don't want to put their business and/or property/finances into the hands of a jury, who could be persuaded you are monster of the first water, whether you are or not. Got deep pockets? Pay up Suckah!
We have that at FSU too
Montgomery is an athletic freak. That's usually who get overhyped early in the draft process. He didn't live up to the hype and if. Character issues are coming out he will go. Round 2 probably
Yeah, I'm not seeing any value.
