I hope Jimbo realizes papa Joe made a 3 year plan an official 5 year plan so the Soviets could complete it early and look like economic juggernauts.
It is year 3 and i have heard rumblings of an oc-here is to Jimbo taking a page out of the Papa joe playbook and declaring the 5 year plan goals met and hiring an oc.
I may be moderately dyslexic and your post is sort of hard to follow.
Are you saying that:
You have heard rumblings that Jimbo feels his 5 year plan has been met, and he is ready to hire an OC in which he will delegate playcalling duties to?
haha, was going to post something similar
No, I have heard rumblings (before this past weekend) that he was thinking about getting a real oc for next year. I guess you have not heard him discuss the 5 and 10 year plans for his tenure at FSU.
altohugh not entirely clear from his past comments, Jimbo has implied he will get an oc after the goals of his 5 year plan have been met. I am saying do what Stalin did and declare the goals met and go get the oc now. FWIW, I think he may be close to pulling the trigger on somone becuase he supposedly mentioned the oc issue in his presser today.
I do not think he would have done that given the general feelings about him serving as hc and oc.
Who the fuck references Stalin as Papa Joe?
I think this answers many questions about 27
Man I hope you're right
Someone who has read a history book-it was the name given to him by the Soviet people.
As to oc, this is conjecture. Jimbo has created a snafu for himself as well as questions at booster events if he does not hire an oc or say Coley is now a real oc.
Someone who knows history and all of the atrocities that Stalin committed, I would never use a term of endearment to identify a monster like him. It is inconsequential if the damn commies used that term or not.

FWIW - an OC shouldn't be hired for the sake of hiring an OC. Hire the right guy, in time for spring practice. Having someone you can't trust isn't going to help matters.
Out of curiousity, has this plan been discussed previously, or is this something new?
Very bizarre reference, but I like it. We rarely talk about the Soviets anymore on 247Noles.
The Future is Now.
I will up vote this. Joseph Stalin was even worse than Hitler in some ways - why he pogromed his own people - ahhhhh enough of that! Jimbo knows the hand-writing is on the wall. Some of our coaches have had it and may be looking to leave on the next thing smoking .This comes to me from several places. I believe an exodus may be in the offing beyond normal attrition. Could be wrong though, and sincerely hope I am - as to me, continuity of staff is key to protracted success.
the 5 and 10 year plans were discussed as soon as he became hc.
no term of endearment-just what he as called by the people he was killing, oppressing etc. The term was also used by the British and American press in talking about Stalin.
Nash is right: It is nip and tuck among who is worse between Stalin and Hitler.
However, he did come up the original 5 year plan. He also declared them a success after 3 or 4 years. It has been 3 years.
Don't have any issue with your obscure Stalin reference.
And certainly Hitler and Stalin deserve their reputation as truly evil.
But, with this we need to acknowledge our own "fathers sins", most notably slavery and the destruction of indigenous peoples. Which of course we all should have an heightened awareness of being Seminoles!
Now, did Stalin create the first 3 and 5 year plan in history? Or just the most famous of the time?
The first one that was actually called "The 5 year plan." Maybe a prior king, emperor. Despot whatever had one but it did not survive in the annals of history.
