Oregon will not lose this year. No one wil beat them. I don't care if they give up 52 points to USC, they need to be outscored and they never will be. They punted ONCE yesterday. I've been watching college football for 33 years and I've never seen an offense like theirs. I've seen every Oregon game this year and they never take the foot off the pedal.
IMO FSU can beat Bama but not Oregon. The question is, if you're a DC, how do YOU stop them? (hint: the answer is simple--you don't)

"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
Defense wins championships.
WVU had a potent offense as well and then look at what happened with them this season. Oregon has had some amazing offenses the last few years and yet they haven't won it all. I will always take a great defense and a average offense over a great offense and crap defense.
There is NO comparison between Oregon and WVU. For starters, there's no comparison between the two coaches. Second, running the ball also "wins" championships and no one runs the ball better than Oregon. This is the best Oregon team ever. They're bigger and more physical than previous teams, they have the best QB they've ever had, and believe it or not, their defense is improved. Texas Tech and KState each held WVU to 14 points. NO ONE is going to hold Oregon to 14 points. Again, how would you stop them?
Name one legitimate defense they have played this year. Let alone two.
They arent challenged on that side of the ball at all.
Name a legitimate defense. There are about 3 in the country.
I've watched a few Oregon games this year and they are very impressive. Their offense is incredible. However, they can be beaten. It just takes one bad game from a QB, an ill-timed injury, or a couple bad calls that go against them and it can happen. They still have USC again, plus a rivalry game against a very good Oregon State team. They should win out, but of course we should have beaten NCST too...
Defensively, a team must have a physical, deep DL and a deep group of LBs/DBs who can hit, cover and run. FSU has that personnel.
Oregon reminds me of Clemson offensively from an athleticism standpoint.
Monte Kiffen's Tampa 2 D has been exposed by spread option teams two weeks in a row. USC's problems stopping Oregon were more schematic than personnel related, but clearly, USC's lack of roster depth has hurt them as well.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.
USC possibly does not make the Pac 10 CG, unless it beats UCLA, a game which is anything but a gimme.
They are Clemson on steroids.
USC's defense along with the rest of the Pac12 is suspect.
If you're saying no one beats them until the bowl game, I might buy it.
With a deep, physical defense, Oregon WILL go down.
Dont get me wrong, they have a very good offense, they are simply the best in their conference. Hard to judge when their OOC games are Arkansas st, Fresno State and Tennessee tech.....
Auburn stopped them in 2010 in the NC game, and Auburn's defense wasn't anything special that year.
Give Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, and that Alabama defense a month to prepare for that offense and Oregon would be lucky to score 20.
Ok, so how does Oregon stop anyone else's offense? Their D still looks meh.
USC's defense is ranked 66th Nationally in Total Defense which is/was hardly a "test" for the Ducks offense IMO. Their two toughest defensive tests will come against Stanford and Oregon State. I agree with greek, that against a deep and talented defense Oregon may/would fall. With that said, I think the only team that will offer a legitimate challenge, prior to going bowling, will be Oregon State in Corvallis.
I will agree that Oregon's offense is the best in the Nation, but as a team, I don't believe they are unbeatable. Alabama, ND, and FSU each have the personnel in all 3 phases to game plan and beat them IMO. Not sure there is scenario that exists where FSU would draw Oregon, and whether or not one of 'Bama or ND get a shot at the Ducks is another question entirely.
They don't. They just outscore everybody.
Their defense is not as improved as advertised, but I don't know if it matters. Their offense is that good. And they're better than the team that faced Auburn in the NC 2 years back.
Hey, maybe Bama could beat them. If we're not in the NC (and our chances took a major and perhaps final hit yesterday) I want to see Bama vs. Orgeon. It would be an amazing contrast in styles.
Oregon has no defense and yes that clown offense can be stopped, teams with physical fronts would own Oregon.
I'm not so sure they play USC again, I see UCLA winning the Pac12 South
I tend to agree right now that Oregon will not be beat by anybody.
I'd like to see them play K-State.
That's the thing, they don't have a "clown" offense. They run the ball. Up the gut, off tackle, sweeps, any which way. They're probably the fastest team in the country.
The one unit that no one ever talks about is their OL. They are big, athletic, and disciplined. Next to Bama they may have the best OL in the country. Obviously, anyone can have an off-day, but I'll be shocked if they lose this year. Yes, I'm saying it now: 2012 National Champions, the Oregon Ducks.
That's a matchup I would LOVE to see. As good and as potent as KState is I don't see them keeping up with OU.
KSU and Oregon would be very entertaining.
ND couldn't beat Oregon. They are too pedestrian on offense to
take full advantage of Oregon's suspect D.
Alabama would have to be at their best offensively, running it
down Oregon's throat.
Alabama's D is good enough to slow them down and get some stops.
I also believe Alabama could make them 1 dimensional.
I think FSU is another team with a defense capable of slowing them down.
Our Offense would have to be hitting on all cylinders.
If they had a great defense, then I'd agree that Oregon is unbeatable.
It's UO, btw.
I keep seeing OU and I think you're talking about the Sooners.
I would love to see the defense that can substitute to take advantage of their depth.

Thanks. My bad.
