I was very happy to see Bookert break out today. He is much more of a pure PG than Brandon is. Once Bojo gets a year in the S&C system and Ojo has more than a year of experience, plus the addition ofJarquez Smith who has been balling out this year (15 pts 12 rebs 7 blks per game), the inside will be a lot better and more stable.
Thats where Hams defense starts. Its built from the inside out. The reason you see teams shooting so well from the outside against us is that our perimeter defenders have to crash the paint to prevent the easy baskets.
As far as the outside go we will lose Snaer and possibly Miller but we will replace them with Aaron Thomas who needs to be getting more minutes Brandon, who should move to SG with the addition of Rathan-Mayes, Bookert, Whisnant, and Rathan-Mayes. You also have Okaro White who if he can stay out of foul trouble (Hasnt happened yet) can be one of the more deadly players in the country.
I wont go into what the addition of Wiggins would do because 1. Its not a surething 2. Everyone knows how good he is.
All in all i expect a very much improved FSU team that will excel on on the defensive side of the ball and maybe we will actually see an offense next year.
We went from one of the most experienced teams to a team with 8 new players. The results aren't surprising and I agree, we'll be much better.
I see us finishing the regular season at 17-15 or 16-16. (some tough games left) Be nice to have a winning record when it is all said and done and make some noise in the NIT.
GO NOLES! / SCALP EM!
W/o Wiggins = 20-12, NCAA tourney
W/ Wiggins = 28-7, Elite 8
My prediction... is If we land Wiggins for one year, we will get further in the tournament the year after he leaves...(because of our experienced players all having to learn to play together as a team again, without depending on him) than the year we have him.
/16 with Wiggins in '13, 2nd round knock out without
/8 without either way in '14

I think after Millers injury, Okaro White would be more likely to leave. Isn't it safe to say Miller will be back next year or did I miss something?
