Nice I cannot wait to see him rep FSU in the Olympics.
Hope he does it better than Reed ever did.
There are only 7 billion people on this world. Wake me up when he is the fastest on other worlds too.
I just see how valuable to us he could be from play one. Go three wide with O'Leary at TE and him in the slot. He runs a deep route and the middle of the field just opens wide up for O'Leary.
Definitely. There is no way that this guy redshirts.
thanks for the update BUSH!!!
I wish it were the 60m instead. He broke his old PR in the 55 by .29 seconds. But I can only find world records for the 50m and 60m. I can't find Bracy's time in the 50m but his PR is 6.75 in the 60m. WR in the 60m is 6.39. We will win multiple track NC's with him.
I can see him going deep and switching it up with some stop and go's to keep them honest.
That's just stupid fast. We should be very exited.
Coach Braman is probably more excited than anyone else.
Will he be a red shirt candidate only because of the fact he won't be arriving to campus until the Fall semester if he qualifies for the Olympics? Everyone else will be arriving for Summer C which starts late June

This comment is right on the mark. My guess is that Bracy plays ball 2013-2015 and focuses on track for the 2016 games.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.
I think he will be ok without summer conditioning... just a guess.

His role his first year and maybe 2nd will be as a KR and decoy on offense with simple go routes and whatnot. Also if we get him a zoom sweep or end around he was able to run that as a 10 year old. No practice needed

Exactly. He won't be a major guy in the offense. Summer practices are mostly conditioning and whatever player put on practices there are. He's not going to need to know the entire playbook and he's most likely already in better shape than anyone on the team haha.
LOL.... does the poster who argued with me week or two want to start the debate again about what ELITE speed is??? Im just messing with you....
You don't think Bracy has ELITE speed???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO NOLES! / SCALP EM!
any video from the race?
Here is video of the race

LOL at the audio footage of the guy in the crowd complaining about a "false start". Bracy definitely timed the cadence perfectly, but there is smoke emitting from the starting gun when he leaves his blocks (and nothing but a trail of vapors thereafter).
I'm content with most playing as true freshman, unless they are OL/DT/QB. Mine as well get 3 yrs out of them and let them help us however they can (in this case KR/situational WR). UM shirted Lamar Miller and got 1 elite yr out of him
There's really fast
And then there's Marvin Bracy
Marvin Bracy sets a new high school national record with a 6.08 second 55 meter run at the Jimmy Carnes indoor track and field meet held at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, FL. The meet was hosted by University of Florida and held on 01-29-2012.
At first I thought he had false started while I was filming this and just wasn't called on it with the jump he got on the field. After replaying my video at the meet in slow mo and frame by frame it can clearly be seen that Bracy begins to move the 3rd frame after the puff of smoke from the gun. Since my camera shoots at 30 frames a second, I would estimate around a .1 reaction(or anticipation) to the gun.
