I read he has reached out to Jimbo about the DC position. Would love to have him on staff
Hell naw especially since Texas defense was just as talented as ours, and they sucked.
His defense/Texas is about Mack brown...see Muschamps defense his last season at Texas, yeah it wasn't very good either.
Great coach and recruiter
He's known as Manny Iaz around Texas
I would rather have Pruitt
How does Texas feel about (nut)Sack Brown? Guy is a bum, Diaz has had good units at Mtsu and msu
I'd take Manny Diaz
I don't know the inner workings of Texas football. All I know is the defense they put on the field under Brown AND Diaz stunk.

I'd rather have Pruitt
My concern with Diaz is schematically but if he passes Jimbo's interview then I'll trust him to be schematically diverse enough to handle spread offenses.

I believe that Manny DIaz is considered a very good DC, coach and recruiter in coaching circles.
Most, in the know, think he would be a great addition to FSU.
Texas under Mack Brown, at the moment, is a dumpster fire.
Not sure how it happened, drop in talent, too much turnover on the staff or what.
I agree that the Texas D has been prison raped several times this year--but hard to put all that on Manny, imo.
My understanding is he has a multiple, aggressive defense, and that it would be a good fit for Jimbo's preferences.
I do get the impression that Jimbo is leaning towards a multiple, 3-4 look though.
So, I am not sure how Manny fits in with that, or how it plays out.
