How did he get so good? He was a borderline recruit at best, we passed on him, he was a terrible shooter last year and NOW he is playing like a Top 5 pick.
He is a thousand times better than Snaer, amazing.
Yeah he looked magnificent tonight. For what it's worth, he's a quote from Jim Larranaga on his development:
"Shane Larkin is all about winning. He is going to do whatever he thinks the team needs him to do. … During the offseason he really worked on his strength and conditioning. Worked on his skills, his layups, his jumpers. We told him before the season began that we needed him to be aggressive offensively, to think in terms of not only are you going to get assists and run the offense but you also have to have the ability to score the ball."

I'm thinking it's more of an HGH type of improvement. From 3 star recruit/player to ACC POY candidate in 1 year? I'm skeptical.
He looks 165 and HGH isnt gonna help his shot or ball handle
HGH is out of price range of regular college athletes unless organized by school (even with a prescription it is like 10 grand a year)
Anyways it doesn't help in coordination and skill, which is what he showed.
HGH isn't going to improve your ball handling, jumpshot, layup, body control in the air.
Shooting 1,000 jumpshots a day, running non stop drills, will.
Deer antler spray.......
Wasn't Johnny Manziel a 3 star?
Can't measure heart and the willingness to improve.
And lol@hgh improvement.

Exactly. Give credit where credit is due. The boy has worked his ass off and can PLAY.
"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
His dad is a baseball HOF'er, he's not your regular college student.. That being said I don't think his improvement has anything to do with PED
Plus, isn't Miami now linked to PEDs in some way?
I don't believe he's taking PEDs either, btw.
Pretty decent genes.
Ryan Braun and Alex Rodriguez respectfully ask that you mind your own damn business
The whole PED Miami connection does make it interesting. Sure it doesn't help him dribble or shoot but it would give him the endurance to work on these skills even longer every day as these PEDs increase stamina and speed up recovery time. He has the money and local connections to make it happen.
I've never seen a mediocre recruit and subsequent player improve this much in 1 year. That's an odd set of circumstances. They just tested the entire Miami baseball program so lets not act like this is that crazy of an idea.
And Manziel won the Heisman his freshman year while Larkin looked like a pedestrian freshman PG who couldnt shoot who then becomes an ACC POY candidate, HUGE change!
