Came out today...players of interest:
24. X. Rhodes -- Indy
35. Watson -- Philly
36. Werner -- Detroit
42. Tank -- MIA
No EJ in the first 2 rounds. Maybe Tank should've went to NYC instead of EJ.

Werner sure is taking a hit in draft stock.
I will be very surprised to see Werner not go round 1.....He is a very good player with little to no downside. great character as well. someone would trade into the bottom of round 1 to get him if he dropped below 20.
This whole draft is kind of crazy. Lots of guys that could go real high or slide a good bit throughout the first 60 picks. Very tough one to predict. Mocks are all over the place.

Tough to see Jenkins stock take such a big hit. Wish him the best.
Wish BJenk had stayed, I mean in all reality maybe Werner should've stayed too
I don't think Werner staying would have helped him at all. In fact, I think he would have gone lower.
Werner is the type of player who will be average to slightly below average in the NFL... unless he takes the JJ Watt approach and uses roids... Then he could be top 3, because his genetics are the limiting factor for sure... he's smart as hell and has a great work ethic.
kiper is smoking crack again. werner wont fall out of the 1st round.
that literally is one of the worst mocks ive ever seen. he has teams skipping guys at positions of need and reaching for guys that dont fit. disregard him. as much as i hate todd mcshay, his latest mock makes sense. i disagree with some of his picks but they at leaast are correct needs, just wrong players
FSU Ambassador to the masses
It is crazy how biased some of our fans can be. Tank flat out was so much more athletic out there. Werner is a special player, but the eye ball test always told you he was limited athletically from a ceiling standpoint.
If you could give the kid the athleticism of Clowney, you're talking about the greatest player of all time at the position. Because the kid has natural instincts and is an outstanding football player....his athleticism is what will keep him average in the NFL
I have never seen anyone, especially someone with Werner's talent, criticized more harshly or lengthy than what Mayock did to Werner at the combine. I literally looked up Mayock's bio to see if he went to UF. His link to Notre Dame explains his defense of Teo after his shitty combine numbers. Guy is a COMPLETE tool.
Werner will be a good pro and not fall out of round one. Book it. The people that matter will love his coachability and feel for the game. He'll probably have to play closer to his sophomore weight though. And Jesus, I've never seen a kid's athleticism downgraded so much. There is no basis for it. He's peeled off rushes and run down screens and flares with little trouble. These experts will owe him an apology in three years.
Werner may not be a Hall of Famer, but he is going to be a very good pro. There is really no down side with him and he is such a smart kid and a worker, that his game will constantly be evolving. I expect 8-12 sacks and excellent against the run.
As for Tank, I've compared to Pierre Paul, so obviously I think highly of him.
BJ, is being mocked in the 5th or 6th round. So he really should have come back. That being said, I always thought he was a second round guy with his size, so any team that gets him after round two is getting a great value.
This. He reminds me of Kyle Van den Bosch, when he played for my Titans, relentless and with similar moves. He'll do well. I'm no predictor, but I believe the NFL coaches, the TRUE prognosticators of talent, have already calibrated his chops and are ready to take him pdq.
Werner really isn't being criticized.
He's just a better fit for 4-3 base teams than 3-4 teams. A lot of the 4-3 teams in the middle of the round have more pressing needs
Is still be shocked to see him fall out of first, but late first is no surprise given fits.
If a team gets 2005-08 KVB production from Werner, they should be ecstatic. He was really, really good during that stretch. Not completely dominant , but outstanding nonetheless.
True. He had good stats for sacks and tackles behind the LOS, but more important, was his disruptive force collapsing the pocket and chasing the QB all over creation. He drew a double team a lot, causing his mates to make plays. While the average fan doesn't see that, especially if they don't get to watch the games, it is a highly significant contribution nonetheless.
That's a good point. Thee are fewer pure 4-3 teams now.
Mel Kiper and a South Florida weather man/woman are the only people who get paid to be constantly WRONG. We will have atleast 3 Noles in the first. Ej might be the lucky recipient of a crappy Qb draft, he could sneak into the first for sure.
People said the same thing about suggs that he wasn't an elite athlete. Jared Allen also isn't an elite athlete. Werner is taking a hit because too many teams in the nfl are combine oriented instead of film oriented
Werner will probably go in round 1 and he certainly won't be an average player in the league just because his 40 isn't good. He's not a 34 olb but he will be a damn good 43 de.
Some of the people they are looking to take over him are ridiculous
