To the 110 ranked offense in the nation
Too many turnovers by our team.. the same thing happened to South Carolina. You cannot win a game that way.
Soft Offensive Coordinator, soft offense. Soft Defensive Coordinator, soft defense. Soft Head Coach, soft team.
Pretty easy to score when you give them such great field position. Sure, we still gave up the yards/points after the turnovers but those change the entire complexion of the game (playcalling, confidence, etc).
It's a good thing we aren't in the SEC
Yes turning it over 5 times hurt, but Florida controlled our d line from the start. They had way to many third and shorts, pretty much did what they wanted on first down
Was a tough game, but you dont turn the ball over 5 times, 3 of them inside our 30 and win. It is exactly how they beat USCjr. We turned the ball over a bunch in the 2nd half of the season and it bit us in the ass tonight.
Uh, in case you didn't notice: the D *quit* half way through the 4th quarter... after our O turned the ball over for the 5th time.... can't say I blame them.
yup, and the gates gave up the most points this year. Winnable game that was dialed up to full retard.
EJ is/was not the answer at QB, this is something Coach Fisher should've seen when he recruited him out of VA. I don't care if some want to point to his completion %/effiency this year, the schedule was one of the worst in college football which inflated his stats along w/the running game. EJ is not an NFL QB as he floats his passes and has no pocket awareness. Sorry if I am putting all the blame on EJ but his 3 ints and fumble hurt us along with Karlos's untimely fumble on his return. The D could not create any turnovers this year and I am one who believe Coach Hudson's time has come and should be shown the door along with Coach Trickett.
You cant blame half the team for quitting against UF in Doak? Uh.
not saying I'd do it, but I understand why they'd do it... the O F'ed them tonight.
This sums it up well
No, it's the opposite. We need to be in the SEC so we can learn how to compete with real teams.
We have the talent to compete in the SEC, but we go a whole season and never see anything like what UF brought. It was a furious storm of speed, strength, and hard hitting, and we weren't prepared.
UF is a vastly better team than we are right now. But if we played an SEC schedule, we'd be at their level, prepared by the competition we'd face.
The ACC has been left in the dust, and us with it.
Soft conference. I think that hurts us badly.
I know, I know, we go against a great defense in practice.
It's not the same thing.
UF is better than us because they go against better teams every week.
And yes, they're better than us. We were outclassed in every aspect by a vastly superior team. It need not be that way though. But if we stay in this FCS-level conference, we'll never escape the black hole.
It wasn't just EJ. Dud anybody see anybody on O do anything? Green made plays when his number was called but nobody made plays that we're used to seeing.
Much of the season, really.
Your overreactions are quite ridiculous
Just what I saw on the field, man. I saw UF dominate. Look, I'm not blaming our players, or even our coaches. I just don't think we play any good teams.
UF is the better team, but if we had a competent QB the game would have been a lot different. It's not a surprise that the one quarter that EJ didn't look like complete ass, we dominated. Not saying we would have won, but EJ gift wrapped this game to UF.
And who is to blame for EJ's playing like "a complete ass?" Does the QB coach not bear some responsibility?
lol, if you'd seem some of my other posts tonight you'd know that I don't think very highly of Fisher.
who? the QB coach who happens to be our HC/OC??
That's him. We blame EJ, rightfully so, buut why does it not reflect poorly on the man who coached him for 5 years?
so the rumor of Stoops bending us over during a game week like Richt did while he is/was interviewing for the Kentucky job doesn't get any pub here at all?
