just kind of doing the calculus there and it seems like we are going to be a serious player for him. I don't think Bama will take him. They already have a better OC committed and they are going HAM at their OG recruiting.
Basically either he or Jordan Sims will be turned down for sure by Bama and obviously Casher and Auburn are estranged. What are the thoughts there? If we could get him on campus next month for a weekend scrimmage we might be right there. Would be glad to have him.
You dont turn down oline talent like this if they want in....especially here! People on the other site sure seem to think if we push he is ours. Would love to have him at center and move elerbe over to guard. Maybe that squeezes out patterson but whoknows
I would like to have him but we have Stork gone then Barron, Lovelady, Hoefeld, Eberle in the fold at Center. If there is room sure, but I'd hate to miss on a late stud because of numbers. I'm sure we could fit him in and it would work out. Not a major need though.
GO NOLES! / SCALP EM!
If Elerbe can grow another inch or two, maybe he can slide to RT.
Eberle's natural position is guard.
According to someone who knows his dad, his dad basically said he's ours IF we want him. I think the IF is important their as there really wasn't any contact while he was committed to AU.
Hudson was 6'2 or a hair under. This kid is basically about 3/4s of an inch shorter than Hudson. Should we turn that down? Hell no. He'll be an elite OC or LG imo.
If you think you can get Casher you need to go after him. Eberle can play G. Hell, Casher can play G. If Hudson can play G then so can Casher.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
Aren't most interior guys pretty interchangeable? Seems like it depends on whether Casher or Hoefeld could slide out to Guard.
Senior - Matias, Barron, Lovelady, Jackson
Junior - Carter
Freshman - Denson (RS), Hoefeld (RS), Eberle, Martinez, Casher

Casher is only about 6'1' ?
Yeah, this whole idea that player X would be an amazing center but is totally wrong for guard, or would be an amazing guard but is totally wrong for center, this is kind of a new one on me.
Every site I've seen has him at 6'1.
Bring him in and let somebody transfer. That is the way it will probably go down if he ends up in Tally come 2013. We may burn a scholly this year, but it will come back to us regardless. Nothing breads excellence like competition.
If I had to make Team Next on the OL for FSU, just talking about 2013, 2014 kids it could be.....
6'7 320 Rod Johnson
6'4 310 Ryan Hoefield -- getting rave reviews
6'4 305 Alec Eberle
6'4 315 Corey Martinez -- extremely strong player
6'4 310 Ira Denson -- with Viloria and a Nutrition coach added to the discipline and maturity he showed by showing up at 298 tells me this kid wants to be a RT and is good enough to do it. Inch shorter Menelik in 2015.
Wilson Bell would be much more likely to be a RT than would Denson. Denson simply doesn't have the range in pass pro or the ability to mirror that would be necessary to handle being out on the edge. Would be much better functioning as Tre Jackson 2.0

Always respect your opinion and wouldn't even disagree really. I think that was mostly based on his 325lbs film. He's 300lbs now and will keep lowering his BF% with hard work and some grilled chicken salads.
Every center can play guard but not every guard can play center
