Smh..... well I guess that is that, just fire the man after 3 years.... the next coach better hope he never loses a game with this crowd supporting them.....
This /\. You don't go from being a clown college of a team to National Champs overnight - or even in a few years. Steady progress is being and has been made. Sure - we've had a few face-plants along the way, but our entire program and all the people in it are still growing, solidifying relationships, and attempting to change to stay abreast of, and even surpass the ever fluctuating dynamics of our sport. I know it's not vogue to caution patience, but that is what is called for here. Firing success is not the way to go about it. Continuing to seek improvement and implement strategies that will do so is.
Honestly guys, all he has really shown is he can recruit very well except for the ol. That is a whole other issue.
Granted, you need the Jimmy and the joes to win, but otherwise he has been underwhelming taking his 3 years as a whole.
What is happening is the exact reason those of us wanted an hc hired and not an hciw to be hc. Is he growing into the job-maybe. Or this may be as good as it gets with him.
It would have been nice to have another program go through his growing pains or show he really isn't up to the job and therefore was never hired in the first place.
We all have hope he will listen to his inner voice over his pride and get an oc that is actually an oc.
If we had a real ad he or she could deal with this issue. However, we really should not have to hope given the on the field results.

Growing pains or not finally ACC champs.... enjoy it for a change....
Jimbo won't do this. He is too arrogant and stubborn to admit that he is the problem
I just want Jimbo to stop having that "what the heck were you thinking" look when an offensive player comes off the field. If he gets a full-time O-coordinator, he can grab the players face mask and tell them this stuff before they make the mistakes. Those looks/conversations Jimbo has with the players during the game makes you wonder what they do in practice. Why don't the players "get it"? is it always "their" mistakes?
If I saw another EJ spin move into a DE, I'd give that look, too.
I will not miss that at all.... my biggest issue with EJ has been not throwing it away....
Do you remember where we were when he got here. In case not last night we won the acc for the 1 st time since 2005.
This is exactly what I am talking about. "EJ, we are in field goal position. Whatever you do, don't take the sack. If its not there...throw it a away and we will take the FG". Oh it helps to call plays that don't give them a chance to do stuff like that (counter when we are backed up to our own goal line).
