Will there be a story on him and why he FSU was the spot for him. Thanks and sorry if this has been done.
No, we were able to get the Brewster quotes before he finalized his deal with FSU. Once the coaches are on staff the media is not allowed to speak with them per FSU's guidelines.

Not even some stuff with "anonymous" sources? Or how about a feel good editorial. Whether you make up the quotes or not is neither here no there, we just want to hear about how badass we are going to be.

Thanks Josh, you all do great work and I'm glad I'm apart of this site now. Blessings!
Saw the thread title and figured he was headed to Miami or Ole Miss or somewhere. Whew.
I really dislike that policy. Like I get the whole "one voice" thing but come on.... You won't even let these guys introduce themselves to the media?
Any idea as to if/when there will be a press conference to formally introduce all of the coaches at once?
We have not been told if they'll have one. I'd expect something like that to occur closer to spring practice, if at all.
Yep. I would love to see one iota of evidence that this policy has helped our program win games or helped us in any other way.
I don't think it has anything to do with "helping" win games. I think it has more to do with "hurting" our perception or reputation. Players say ridiculous things and speak from emotion a lot; coaches can too. I think Fisher tries to limit that.
Still sucks lol. I actually agree with the player side of it though. Think it'd be cool to at least get some perspective from the coordinators. Really hope Jimbo has a press conference for these new coaches. If it weren't for the NSD signing party I wouldn't even know what these coaches sound like.
Jimbo's media policy must completely drive every single media member nuts.
yes - and he learned it from saban
Signing day party they all got to speak. The coward Napier even spoke.
When Coley had his first spring practice media session at Miami, saw about five different media members on this beat point that out.
It is aggravating, but it is what it is.

No offense to coach Hudson and coach Coley, but neither of those two were known for keeping quiet at times, so I can see where this policy is needed.
However, at some point, I would think that he could treat his coaches a little more like adults with respect to this policy.
I think he can still get his point across while allowing the limited coaches media access.
Its an extremely exciting point in this programs timeline. We have an incredibly diverse mix of coaches, with some heavy hitters that may only be here a short while.
Undortunately, we will never get insights on their thoughts on players, strategies, coaching history, etc that other assistants chat about with the media.
I think giving these kids twittter access is just as bad as the coaches media policy, haha.
We're assuming they want to deal with the media. No disrespect to any media member here, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to and I know Jimbo would rather not too.
I feel what you're saying fsukum, however these are grown men and at the end of the day this is not all about Jimbo... I for one can't stand to hear him do interviews; he is so Sabinish that it makes me sick. Kind of reminds me of Bryant trying to be like M lol...
Bowden had a open media policy and it came back to bite him. Players were easily accessible but there were not nearly as many media members even then. Media started to turn to try to find they next big scoop and things like tainted title were published. There were some instances at the end that included Jimbo and Amato getting into it that were played out in the media. There is no benefit really and after awhile, it can become a distraction. I do wish that the coaches had 1 day in the spring and maybe 1 preseason to talk to the media. I like the no freshmen rule until FSU can teach some public speaking skills.
