@PBPjasonlieser: Per a source, former Gators/Dwyer QB Jacoby Brissett is transferring to N.C. State. Picked Wolfpack over WVU.
Three W's In My Life: Ward, Weinke, and Winston
Not sure what to think.
Good for him. Hopefully he can become the QB he was projected to be out of Dwyer and give the ACC a little more legitimacy.
My thoughts exactly. Doreen can coach. Hopefully he can get Brissett to round into form
Whatevs. Highly unlikely he makes the 'packers forget about Wilson.
He made the wrong decision, imo.
That decision cost O'Brien his job, imo.
Well if he wasnt good enough to unseat driscoll...
Is this based on Doeren having a more dual threat at NIU? Weird post it seems.
I think he mean WVU seems like a better fit
If that is what kum was implying I don't see why.
Brissett is not a dual threat QB that you must be to succeed in that WVU system. Plus NC St has a better track record recently at putting QBs in the league.

The verison of the spread that NC state will run is the same that NIU was running which is more of a run based spread.. Holgerson is a Mike Leah protege, there verison of the spread is quick passes and quick reads and doesn't require a mobile QB
WVU's system doesn't require mobility. It's a pass happy, Air Raid, team being coached by someone who has developed Case Keenum, Brandon Weeden and Geno smith. He coached under Mike Leach for years at Texas Tech.
NC State's new system will be taught by a coach who called 271 carries for his QB this year (Smith had 68). Who NC State developed in the past is irrelevant. They have a knew coaching staff.

Gotcha. I didn't realize Holgorsen was at OK St and TT.
Y'all realize we're absolutely destined to lose to him in Carter Finley in 2014.
Yep. He was the WR coach at TT under Leach, the OC/QB coach at OK St. and the OC/QB coach at Houston. His offenses have been pass happy, but very balanced too. I think that's why his offenses have been more successful than Leach's.
That said, I still wouldn't say NC State was a bad choice. And to my OP, hopefully he can get his game turned around and be a good QB in the ACC.
I don't think it was a bad one, I just don't think it was the right one. Now, maybe there is more to his decision than just football that I'm not taking into account.
They better hope driskel doesn't get hurt.
Funny to me because Driskell (who beat out brissett) would be a better "lynch" type qb than Brissett would be.
Can someone please post Matt Elam's tweets about this from yesterday? Sounds like there is/was a little divide amongst the team about Driskell/Brissett

I grinned BC I know you're mostly joking. But this program doesn't have any Bobby Bowden cobwebs left on it now. Pruitt will have some land sharks eating him alive in front of their shocked home fans
Elam and Brissett where HS teammates so I'm sure he likely sided with him
It was obvious as soon as Muschamp took over he preferred Driskel. Don't think it was ever in question no matter what he said about a fair competition. And when you look at actual play, I don't see how you would think that Driskel was a better QB. Better runner, definitely. Better to run an offense with no real weapons, most likely. But Brissett had some skills.
Neither QB was gonna succeed in that system. That offense was terrible all the way around. Seemed like Muschamp just flipped a coin .
Kid is a great athlete. Not looking forward to dealing w him.
