That is a HUGE loss in my opinion.
"Sometimes when you bring the thunder, you get lost in the storm." -Kenny Powers
Smith and Thompson.
Of non seniors I bet we lose Haulstead, Gehres, 2 of Faircloth/Orelus/Foose, Werner, XR.
I believe those saying Jenkins will return. If that happens I have FULL confidence next year is the best team we've had since we hoisted the crystal.
I think Bright moves on too since he will or has graduated.
You can add Demps as well. Both will have finished 4 years this year.
Fisher already said he thinks Jenkins is gone
I think Werner stays, Jenkins depending on his recovery. XR he will jump for sure but we are good behind him.
There is no way Werner is staying. He has top 20 tape with the hype to match. He is a clone of the best defensive player in the NFL and will show up at the combine at 275-280
Why on God's Green Earth would Werner stay? I'd probably kick him in the shin....errr....maybe not..myself if he even entertained the thought. Would love to have him but how many Bradford's/lattimore's/Brandon Jenkin's/and on and on do you need to see to realize that being a pro-football player is a very short-term proposition? if you are a Jr and you are sure fire rd 2 or better, HAUL ASS!!! And don't look back.
If you expect the HC to be giving the most accurate updates on it, you're gonna have a bad time.
Isn't there something about his wife needing another year at TCC to graduate? I feel like I read that somewhere.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or it may last a year. But eventually, it will subside. If i quit, however it will last forever.
If you expect a top 60 prospect who almost left last year to rehab his ass off so that he could come back to college you will have a worse time
I think TCC will have little bearing on the Werner's decision
Don't forget about Dustin Hopkins.
IMO Bjoern seems like a guy who would want to finish college because of his wife, where he comes from, etc. He played at Salisbury with one of my friends from elementary school and my friend says nothing but good things about him. With that said, the man is a beast and I could easily see him going in the 1st round. If those are the projections from the experts he should go. XR will definitely leave. I believe Joyner and Christian Jones will stay however
Totally agree. There are some on here that say it's not a concern, that we'll have an even better back field even losing EJ, Lonnie and CT.
Don't listen to those folks as they're wrong in life way more than they're right.
The team we have right now is the team that had the potential to raise the crystal. We screwed it up. You don't lose the caliber players we are going to lose and become a better team. We aren't just losing good players, we are losing leadership. CT, Pryor, EJ, Bjoern. The only true leader coming back is going to be Joyner. Any other leader on the team is going to have to step up, which will probably happen with a few, but not to the extent that we are going to get another Pryor or Bjoern.
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death, I assure you, it is much more serious than that."
lol, I expect him back. You expect him gone. Seems fine to me. Good comeback though, I laughed.
There is 0% chance Bjoern comes back.
Kenny Powers: "A true champion will do whatever it takes to rise above. Because surrender is death, and death is for pussies."
Werner and XR would be fools to stay. They are top 20 picks.
Jenkins stays. I don't know his rehab status, but I just can't imagine him being ready.
Christian Jones -- we just don't know yet. He seems to improve every week. But . . .

"I never knew I had a foot until I noticed it was on your neck"
I'm not so sure. You may be right, But the offensive line should be much improved next year. Our wide receivers should be much improved especially Kelvin Benjamin. I think Freeman and Wilder are ready to replace Chris Thompson Already let alone next year. If either of Bjoern Warner or Brandon Jenkins returns our defensive line will still be the strength of the team.
Losing EJ manuel's leadership hurts but losing his arm doesn't. I don't think we will see that big of a drop off in quarterback play.
Hopkins and Pryor will be the two that really hurt.

The team has some solid players coming back.
I think it lacks depth at OL and DE to be a top 5 program though. Same could be said about LB.
All 3 of those issues could be fixed with recruiting, but I don't think it happens with the current recruiting effort. It will be solid, but not elite and not certain needs are being met. Might have an issue of all our current coaches more focused on job hunting than recruiting.
Fill those needs and stabilize the recruiting class and return a few of the potential kids going pro, next years team could be a very good one.
I LOVE the kids you mentioned......but for all the talk about leadership I heard this year, I honestly haven't seen evidence of it this year. Honestly......this team has looked sloppy most of the season....I don't think the team clicked this year. It could still be a successful season and I still really like the kid you mentioned......but I am not sold it all rolled up into leadership and eventually chemistry that puts teams to the next level.
Brandon's injury provides a tangible reason for our talented underclassmen to declare early. I'm expecting everyone to leave (Bjoern, Jenkins, Rhodes, and possibly Joyner/Jones)
