Perhaps you need to reread some of my posts. If Krug, or any OL is thinking rather than carrying out their assignment instinctively, they'll look slow, when in fact they're confused.
He'll be improved a ton.
I'm cheering for it. I hope the guy goes off this offseason and turns into a mauler.
I'm fairly confident the jump from JUCO to FSU was a rude awakening.
JUCO ball just isn't the same caliber as far as player speed, strength, and defensive sophistication.
I'm rooting for him too.
farn, no an Indian girl from your town Stamford. Damn vegetarians!
I love me some Churrascaria. So back to the brasileiras most likely, lol.
I just got messaged that this post was disrespectful. How so! Just poking a bit of fun at posters who downplay the injuries our OLineman suffered throughout the year. Sure many happened in game situations, but some happened on the practice field too. Our opponents also did their share of staggering chicken dances (the ones that were still awake after we blew them up) in the Doak and on the road.
No disrespect meant. If it steamed your bean - well, not sorry, and ain't gonna change 'less Josh or Corey get stuck intae me. Even then....
I knew there was something to like about you Canolee.... Fogo de Chao, let's go.
I heard best churrasco is in Danbury right now. Pantanal was good a few years ago. I haven't been back since they changed it.
Went to Fez last week, that was great!!!!, And to top it all off, met a Cuban Nole that just moved up from FL. I want to find some boliche.
Porcao in Rio has to be one of the best, but I like Rodeio in SP, unless of course you're going to Porto Alegre, which really has the best.
Is krugs reputation for "getting beat to the hole by the RB" based on a single play? 'cause for some, it has defined him as though this exact thing happened on every play.
Do not question board hyperbole..... let us act like gurus, please.
Greek, now you are speaking my language
I'll be the translator.
falo portugues como uma gaucha, that's riograndense.
Gostaria de comer carne agora!!!!!
Impresionante, che. Picanha ou alcatra?
Este papo me faz querer comida e bebidas brasileiras.
Nao se esqueca mulheres Brasileiras.
gyro, I like the girls, doesn't mean I speak the language.
farn, we are doing some cool stuff in a new Brazilian restaurant coming to Stamford next week. It is a chain(unfortunately) but will open in March, next to Target(same owners as Melting Pot). The son is 6'11, 325. Maybe he can play RT? Or Power Forward :)
And the best food we ate in Brazil hands down was at my friends house. We barbecued 5 meats and Picanha was my fav.
goog, sorry for getting off topic. It was more than just one play with Krug. He doesn't move as well as he needs to when he pulls or traps. And even on cut off on the second level. But it's normal for players to improve every year, so maybe he works on his foot quickness, the game slows down for him and he has a productive senior year.
Not a very far fetched prediction. We may not start seniors for being seniors but we won't waste his scholly by benching him all year.
I can remember it happening 3 times. He also had games where on any 10 plays he was getting beat within 2 seconds on 6-7 of them. He was abysmal.
He needs to lower his BF% a good bit.
Well, I am a casual observer of football who never played the game. I don't watch the OL when I watch football except for occasionally. But I do read Canolee's trench notes and based on those write-ups, I sure don't remember THAT ever happening. I mean, we're talking about a guy getting just blown up 40 plays a game.
Anyhow, I'm not saying the guy was good. I'm saying for much of the season the coaches felt he was our best option. I expect him to improve, and I expect him to hold off the younger players.
Just a hunch though. I'm no insider, and I'm no football expert.
And reading the trench notes together with Trickett's comments about his "bending," he does sound to me like he packed the most "oomph" on a straight-ahead, get-a-push-on-the-guy-in-front-of-you block of anyone on our OL.
